A special snowflake died just the other day trying to assassinate 5 GOP leaders. The cities will be full of desperate people who who they’ll arm with cheap Chinese guns and send them after us. They’ll import and arm 3ed worlders as well. And while we have better troops they’ll have a lot more troops and we can’t defend everywhere at once. They’ll use that advantage to attack where we are weakest while they use the cities as strong points once they have enough people armed and trained. Leftist who stay in red states will act as spies and a 5th column to attack us in the rear.

The end of the Soviet Union was the rejection of Marxism. A division of the US would be a divide between Marxist American and traditional American. It’s 1920s Russia or the civil war in Spain not the fall of the Soviet Union. Why would you even conflate the two?

There were, and still are, millions of Marxist in the USSR. I think Putin is one of them if truth were told. Breaking up a large empire like the USA and the USSR can be done peacefully. I look at our current situation as a positive thing if we can manage a peaceful division. There is way to much power centralized in DC. This potential diffusion of power is way overdue. All parties will be much happier.

If that Russian revolution had had to deal with the countryside being vastly more armed and proficient than the city marxists it would have fizzled.
As it stood you had a vast countryside population hardly above the level of still being serfs and scattered over a huge area where you as often as not wouldn’t have any social or cultural similarities to people as little as 50-100 miles away.
If you HAD a weapon then you’d maybe have 10 or 20 rounds of ammo, and that was if you were relatively wealthy and weren’t still using a muzzle loader.
Today here in the US somewhere between 15 and 20 million people fielding hunting rifles alone that will remove an individual from conflict permanently if the target is hit pretty much anywhere from knees or elbows inward towards the torso.

That’s exactly what they had to deal with. Overwhelming numbers works once they have people trained to fight.

Sure, but you can’t be everywhere at once. In America they’ll drive up in buses by the thousands and attack individual farms, small towns, ect and then retreat before you can gather enough people together to fight back. Or they’ll send a huge army destroy a large area and steal everything they can and then retreat back to the cities.
They’ll take a lot more losses, but with unlimited immigration they’ll have unlimited recruits who can make war their full time job while most red americans will have to work and fight part time while having their homes, farms and oil wells destroyed by raiders.
Worse they’ll use leftist spies telling them when places are relatively undefended and the alike so we’ll always be at a disadvantage in a defensive war.
The defensive model doesn’t work unless you build something like a wall at all border points and that’s a lot area to defend. Going on the offensive before they can train up an army will result in the best likelihood of not ending up in a gulag. Waiting for them to get organized when they hold all the major cities is a death sentence.
I think JB has a point. We split 35/15 and after a few years of Venezuela in the socialist states they’re going to start pumping their people that their lives suck because they got tricked into a bad deal yada yada because if politicians know if they can’t redirect a mobs anger externally they’re screwed.
Additionally, a split like that would signal to the rest of the planet that the superpower US is down for the count and the global statist bags of shit would goad the commie split offs to action and probably supply them with material, money and intel.
