The Other Poison Gas Killing Syrians: Carbon Dioxide Emissions

If Trump and his cronies really cared about children killed by noxious gases, they wouldn’t be trying to spew ever more CO2 into the atmosphere.

The gas attack in Syria on April 4 consumed the world’s attention and galvanized the Trump White House, leading to the launch of 59 cruise missiles on a small airport from which the regime of Bashar al-Assad has been bombing the fundamentalist rebels in Idlib province. The pictures of suffering children, Trump said, had touched him. Yet the president and most of his party are committed to increasing the daily release of hundreds of thousands of tons of a far more deadly gas—carbon dioxide. Climate scientist James Hansen has described our current emissions as like setting off 400,000 Hiroshima atomic bombs each day, every day of the year.

Carbon Dioxide is essential to human life. Your body has no sensory apparatus to detect when you are oxygen deprived. It does, however, monitor CO2 and makes you breathe to expel it when it gets above some threshold level. Without CO2 your body would have no incentive to breathe.

like setting off 400,000 Hiroshima atomic bombs each day...

I’m going to have to see the math on that.

Of course I know it’s a flat-out fabrication because of the round numbers involved. Always a tell. A more convincing lie would be to claim it’s like 397,942 Hiroshima atomic bombs each day. That is a more authentic sounding lie.

Carbon Dioxide Fertilization Greening Earth, Study Finds

"From a quarter to half of Earth’s vegetated lands has shown significant greening over the last 35 years largely due to rising levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide, according to a new study published in the journal Nature Climate Change on April 25."

This is from the “nation”, a radical insane leftist marxist rag published by a completely mentally incompetent Katrina vanden Heuvel.

What the article really shows is that the author has complete contempt for those who share his/her point of view. The author believes that his audience is completely ignorant and will make no attempt to verify his/her outrageous claims.

But, but, [Wikipedia]
[The Nation's founding]...stated mission "...and to wage war upon the vices of violence, exaggeration, and misrepresentation by which so much of the political writing of the day is marred"

Methinks they've lost their way. Probably after the first issue in the 1800s.

Go to wikipedia, look up the last major geological time scales 350 million years ago till now. And note thr co2 levels....

If co2 is so horrible, how did massive dinos survive for hundreds of millions of years with levels of co2 several times HIGHER than what libs consider apocalyptic? ??????

The dinos supposedly would have suffocated/drowned/burned to death before they ever had a chance to live for nearly 150 million years......

Co2 was supposed to cause... desertification..... whoopsie.... bad science....

The high co2 levels in the dinosaur era is what enabled enough plant growth to support the giant city bus sized plant eatin dinos...

But just think of how much carbon Assad saved killing a couple hundred thousand people. Those people would be happy knowing thay, right?

Carbon dioxide?? Really...why not say CARBON MONOXIDE, than you’d be correct. Carbon dioxide is what we breathe.

Actually CO2 is what we exhale.
