This Furry subculture seems to be more or less mentally ill persons.

Here you go, the best I can put it together:
Children grew up into adults who had arrested development and subsequently had problems distinguishing fantasy from reality because of over-permissive parenting and relative morality.
Part of these childhood fantasies were transforming themselves into anthropomorphic animals they saw in Disney movies and other cartoons.
They found or made costumes that would allow them to wallow in their self-delusions by having the outward appearance of said anthropomorphic animals.
A small portion of these developmentally-stunted adults also saw the fashion sense of Hugo Boss in the uniforms he designed for the Third Reich. They decided to not only role-play (which was actually living out a fantasy rather than playing a role), but to dress up in Nazi uniforms on top of their animal costumes - a costume on top of a costume, if you please.

Hitler was infatuated with wolves.
They had a big furry con at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta last weekend. A generation ago, they would have been Dungeons & Dragons kids. Essentially harmless, but always attracting a few psychopaths. My (very) socially conservative wife had never seen furries before and just thought they were cute.

The whole story falls apart when you read that they reserved 30 rooms at a convention hotel. 30 rooms at a motel 6 would be a big deal. 30 rooms at a convention hotel is a non-event.
A couple of control freaks that couldn’t find anything else to fight over. They need to run for office in an HOA.

But Foxler’s claims aren’t enough for many mainstream furries, who accuse him and the Furry Raiders of being far-right and using strong-arm tactics to manipulate Colorado’s furry scene.
One isn't accustomed to seeing "mainstream" and "furries" in the same sentence, much less juxtaposed. "Jumbo shrimp" comes to mind. When one fellow whose sexual fetish is running around in a fuzzy animal costume informs us that another is weird because he sports an armband, you have to wonder about frames of reference.

Not exactly the Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse, is it? I will have to admit, however, that the number of cartoon rabbits in Nazi uniforms that I actually expected to see in a long and complex life was disappointingly small, a sign perhaps that the word "normal" has a real meaning after all. I'll try to do better.

I’ve been to some of the furry conventions, working AV. Most of the people I met were completely normal people, just that they were fans of certain media. Many were conservative and Christian in fact.
It’s no more strange a random than Star Trek. Just that the media loves to showcase the freaks for ratings.
