On top of that, there's probably a ton of computerized special effects. Those are a complete buzz kill.

No computer ever matched the special effects of Forbidden Planet.

And Hollywood has been talking about a remake of that classic too. They’ll ruin it, of course. I just watched this documentary on Forbidden Planet:

Forbidden Planet remains one of my all time favorites. My friends could not understand why that “old movie” was one of my first DVD purchases (and I’ve made precious few of those).
