GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - A group of nine people gathered outside Grand Rapids Christian High School Friday to protest a decision made by school administrators to suspend four students who attempted to hold up signs supporting President Donald Trump's immigration policies.

The 13 Watchdog team broke the news Thursday four local private school students were suspended for two days for their actions related to the paper signs.that said "Build The Wall" and "Trump" in response to a banner that was displayed in school titled “Immigrants are a Blessing Not a Burden”. One of the students is 18 years of age and the other three are 17.

Two of the students involved sat down with the 13 Watchdog team to explain why the situation happened last Friday March 3. The students told us they didn't plan out the situation and didn't want to cause any harm. They say they only wanted to make a statement to support President Trump's mission to curb illegal immigration.

"We're not trying to offend anybody or any immigrants," one of the suspended students said....

You are correct. I grew up in that denomination. Went from conservative to leftist in about 30 years.

The CRC is a hotbed of the NeverTrump crew in W. Michigan.

Cruz won all three of the core counties that make up most of their membership (Kent, Ottawa, and Muskegon).

“Statement on the Treatment of Refugees

As leaders of denominational ministries and institutions of the Christian Reformed Church in the United States and Canada, we are alarmed by the recent U.S. president’s executive order drastically cutting the number of refugees who will be welcomed to the United States, and pausing all refugee resettlement for 120 days. The Old Testament repeatedly issues a call to welcome, love, defend, and not oppress the foreigner (e.g. Ex 23:9, Deut 10:19, Lev 19:34, Zech 7:10); the New Testament emphasizes the virtue of hospitality toward strangers (e.g. Matt 25:35, Heb 13:2). It is clear that our church has been called by Scripture and our own unique history to the work of welcoming refugees, and the need to welcome has never been felt more deeply than today.”

Face it the Christian religious organizations are finished. Now they are no more than social clubs and leftist organizations.

I had to leave the Presbyterians because this.

Great open-minded school board/principal, eh? ( /s )

Nothing like shooting yourself in the foot by suspending the (mature) kids of the people that are paying your salary.

Assinine.

How much money did the CRC get during the last 8 years taking in refugees. I have read 2100.00 per refugee. Whom they then got all set up to receive free stuff?

It was a money making venture for these groups. Who claim high rates of refugees being self sustaining.

What they don’t admit is these refugees are being FULLY supported by taxpayers funds. Including housing, medical, eduvation and a monthly “stipend”.

Betsy DeVos is heavily involved with this school. She and her husband are large benefactors.

Kinda hard not to report the facts when the video clearly showed only 9 folks marching............With that being said, I thought the reporting was very objective and on the mark.........

Was wondering what happened to Muskegon. It is one of the few counties in Michigan that went to Clinton.

Kind of a take off on "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother". We still carry these "blessings" on our own backs - criminals every one.

I’d love to see the names and addresses of all CRC members put online and posted around town for immigrants and refugees, informing them that free food, free clothing and free lodging are available from those people, to go and ask for it.
