I think former Ambassador Bolton is worthy of serious consideration and appointment. He served the country well while at the UN. To deny his consideration because of him working for former President Bush is in the category of ‘spiting your face....’
As another poster pointed out, Bolton is the favored candidate of the McCain-Graham wing of the Republican Party. The problem with Bolton isn’t just that he worked for the Bush administration, it’s that he represents some of the Bush administration’s most misguided polices of failed “nation building” in the Middle East.
I completely agree.
The reason to deny him is that he still subscribes to the catastrophically failed neocon foreign policy worldview.
Indeed, and I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, the first replacement o'bammy made was to remove him as ambassador to the UN.
Things that make you go "hmmmm?"

I agree. Bolton would be a great choice. Bush haters probably don’t remember that Condoleeza Rice overode any action by Bolton. He was not a Bush lackey, but one of the best at understanding the UN and the Middle East. I did not like either Bush, but you shouldn’t always throw out the baby with the bathwater.
