Make no mistake: we have just witnessed an operation by members of the CIA to take out a high official of our own government. An agency widely believed to have brought down democratically elected governments overseas is now practicing the same dark arts in domestic American politics. Almost certainly, its new head, Mike Pompeo, was not consulted.
Senator Chuck Schumer, of all people, laid out on January 2 what was going to happen to the Trump administration if it dared take on the deep state – the permanent bureaucracy that has contempt for the will of the voters and feels entitled to run the government for its own benefit:
New Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said Tuesday that President-elect Donald Trump is "being really dumb" by taking on the intelligence community and its assessments on Russia's cyber activities.
"Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you," Schumer told MSNBC's Rachel Maddow.
"So even for a practical, supposedly hard-nosed businessman, he's being really dumb to do this."
Or, as the old rueful saying has it, "you've got to go along to get along." This means that we the people had better acknowledge that the bureaucrats have turned into our masters, and the old expression "public servant" is as ironic as anything Orwell came up with. Schumer knows this and likes it, because the deep state wants a bigger, more powerful government, just as he does.

Pompeo is a CIA clone. He is for mass NSA domestic spying, and wants Snowden executed. He would be just fine with the further ascendancy of the intelligence community. And he brings that special Kansas zealot weirdness to the equation.
We should be comforted that our CIA taps the phones of the Russian Ambassador, but alarmed that the CIA would leak the contents of those taps in order to take out a US citizen.

Unfortunately, because of the fast pace of events, I inadvertently briefed the Vice President Elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian Ambassador.”
He characterized the conversation accurately. Pence the idiot ran around speaking in absolutes from generalities. The fact here is that Pence opposed Flynn’s ideas on Syria and Russia and so he took him down. This was GOPe striking back.
Pence is to Trump as Bush was to Reagan. A GOPe plant designed to moderate and take over as soon as practical.
This stinks of John Brennan and his henchmen. Two can play this game...

Schumer’s statement tells me that HE is getting leaks. Maybe time to take a harder look at Schumer’s correspondence.
Trump is their boss. Fire everyone in the CIA and start over.

Mattis thinks Israel is the problem and supports the Palestinians. Pompeo is awful. Lying general Hayden of the NSA loves him. Even McMullen loves him. Pompeo himself said we must be careful not to conflate Islam with terrorism. His first move was to try to get close to Erdogan.
Yeah, losing Flynn empowered people who aren’t heading in the right direction.

If you think their story is honest, and that just by -coincidence- in the normal course of their duties, they listened in on Flynn, then I got a bridge to sell you.
