He had a rough childhood, and some tragedy in his adult life. Regardless, he doesn’t behave like a “woe is me” prima dona, he treats acting like a job instead of something that he owed. If I were making a movie he’s the kind of actor I would cast. Plus he can shoot. I’m still unclear why he doesn’t have American citizenship.
But I have now seen in both John Wick and John Wick Chapter 2 and he is fantastic in this part. Man of few words but lots of action when it counts.
He can drive a hot, muscle car too.
I have followed him for a long time and he seems pretty down to earth. Not flashy with his money and yes he does keep his opinions to himself. He was born in Hawaii so he is a U.S. Citizen I believe.
The thing with John Wick is that it was planned as a three movie arc. Actually the second movie opened better than the first and will probably do very well so I hope John Wick 3 is made, they left us with a good cliff hanger at the end of two.
I would be willing to be, absent other evidence, that Reeves is pretty conservative.
Tom Cruise did a good job in Collateral too.
The alley scene where he draws on 2 perps, cool.

Night club gunfight, cool.
skip first 2 minutes.

In Speed you can see the pre-wounded Reeves. He was wounded when wife and child died and so the agony of loss has tempered the humor and joy. Only God gives us the peace that passes understanding and the hopeful joy of reunion.
How are you?
“Maybe. There must be SOMETHING he can do well.”
Well he is worth $350 million, so yeah there must be something he can do well.
It’s not act. He has the half Hawaiian cute thing going but Dwayne Johnson even does that better.
