The liberals in this country can’t stand that this lady is not lock-step against Trump. Threats against her life? How is this even tolerable. Both Beyonce and Kanye went 0 for 8 in the Grammys this year, so now there is a big stink about that. What’s not being said outright is it’s the liberals (many of them white) who did not vote for either person. It will just be reported as racism and pin it on conservatives.

Those who use "political correctness" as a tool for shutting down freedom of conscience and free expression of the ideas of others are censors who, when they act as censors of others, remove the shelter which protects themselves as well!

"There are rights which it is useless to surrender to the government and which governments have yet always been found to invade. These are the rights of thinking and publishing our thoughts by speaking or writing; the right of free commerce; the right of personal freedom. There are instruments for administering the government so peculiarly trustworthy that we should never leave the legislature at liberty to change them." --Thomas Jefferson to David Humphreys, 1789. ME 7:323

"Freedom of religion; freedom of the press; freedom of person under the protection of the habeas corpus; and trial by juries impartially selected, I deem [among] the essential principles of our government, and consequently [among] those which ought to shape its administration." --Thomas Jefferson: 1st Inaugural Address, 1801. ME 3:322

"One of the amendments to the Constitution... expressly declares that 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press,' thereby guarding in the same sentence and under the same words, the freedom of religion, of speech, and of the press; insomuch that whatever violates either throws down the sanctuary which covers the others." --Thomas Jefferson: Draft Kentucky Resolutions, 1798. ME 17:382

In this case, the producer of the Grammy’s said that he wanted people to get political. Of course, he meant “Use your acceptance speech to bash Trump.”

Why should it always be only the liberals making the statements?

I want political statements out of the NFL so I can enjoy the dang games in peace. But the Grammy’s are long gone; good for Joy Villa for demonstrating some opposition. I’ll bet people were stunned...they had no idea that anyone in the entertainment industry disagreed with them!
