That is what you call getting old? It gets a lot worse than that. Lots worse.

It isn’t a contest but unless you don’t sleep all night, can’t stand to lay on one side or another or both, can’t put on a shirt or coat, can’t reach your head to wash your hair, can’t get up without reaching for something etc. you are nowhere near old feeling. None of those have merited a trip to the doctor after several years of inconvenience.

[Tell me about it. I turn 41 tomorrow, and in 4 weeks am going to have to have surgery on an impinged shoulder.]

I’ve had one for 17 years actually probably a lot longer than that.

Had ultra sound heating and then PT exercises for 6 weeks and it alleviated the pain for about 15 years , now returning. He picked up Arthritis in it with a an x-ray.

Just had an MRI and seeing the ortho doc next week.

You having Orthoscopic?

.
The only problem I’ve encountered with Tumeric is some bowel irritation.

Way better than a sore joint though!

Despite the breath-taking deterioration of the body, including much impairment, pain and true physical suffering, I am so far loving older age.

True, I have had more significant others die in the past five years than in the previous sixty, bringing much grief, but I feel closer to them now more than ever.

It is so much easier to look upon people with kindness, even myself.

And greater understanding of life is a joyful experience.

It will give you relief. IF it doesn’t work or last long it gives your doc a datum to justify a replacement

A single shot of steroids isn’t an issue with regards to side effects for most; it’s the longer course oral steroids that cause more ‘side effects’.

I’ll be 66 soon. I was in one of those Brazilian steakhouses today.
There were a couple of 20 somethings that really needed to get a room a few tables away.
Meanwhile I was worried about getting home without crapping my pants after eating all that meat.
Just ain’t fair.

I started drinking a juice mixture of, fresh turmeric, half of a cucumber, pineapple and a fresh beet. got it off the internet. Seems to help my arthritic shoulder and knuckles. My metatarsal pain is another story. I've thought about buying good quality pickled pigs feet for the cartilage to see if that also helps.

I had a cortisone shot recommended for a finger joint that I was having some pain in. I just used whiskey instead.
