Lost to the tech world is that some the 63 million people who voted for Trump see his immigration ban as an attempt to keep America safe
WARNING:The Internet worlds top tech companies have thrown in with the progressive left in trying to drag the President Donald Trump administration into the life-sucking quicksand of their cesspool.
While Hollywood and entertainment celebrities hold public attention with their daily rants and screams of outrage, the battle to rid the world of Trump and turn it back to the absolute control of the progressive left has opened the way for a new battle frontier.
Tech companies love hiring cheaper foreign coders.
SillyCon Valley....(Palo Alto/San Jose area) ... has gotten so addicted to hiring from Communist China and other countries just about anyone they want, at any time they want, INSTEAD OF HIRING AMERICAN ENGINEERS AND PROGRAMMERS,etc
that they are gonna Sh*t a Br*ck (and yell like Hell) when DJT clamps down on this disgusting practice
until he does, however, American college graduates will continue to have difficulty getting employment (or even interviews) there, and this has included some of the very top level American graduates at leading American universities
yes, some get hired. but a HUGE number of SillyCon Valley jobs are given to foreigners (at lower wages) and NOT even opened up to American applicants
ps:
I did not mean to imply that this problem of importing foreigners (mostly from Communist China but also programmers from India and some other countries)
is limited to SillyCon Valley. This problem exists for American college graduates seeking employment at a number of very large companies across the country....even in NY state
Turn a blind eye to this BS President Trump!
The H1B program has become perverted. It is now a means of deindustrializing the native STEM people by onshoring cheap indentured labor. It is advertised as paying an equivalent salary, but it doesn’t, because the imported H1B’s are worked 70 or more hours per week. Why? Because they want to stay 3 years to be eligible for a green card, but if they lose their jobs, they have to leave the country. So they put up with the conditions, and are effectively blocking entry of our our STEM graduates into the STEM workforce.
The two most dangerous words in the English language to these companies is NOT President Trump.
The two most dangerous words are “alternative to”.
Pick any goods or services offered by these companies and Google alternative to xxxxxxx.
There are surprisingly many free or low cost options out there.
Conservative techies need to get together to form companies that will pick up the slack when the loonies go too far
Do most folks remember or know the connection of Tech to the DNC?
Bill Clinton
Goldman Sachs
Goldman Sachs Internet Tollkeeper fund
Overnight wealth via IPO
Stocks bought up by mutual funds
Chips cashed in, favors paid off
Warchest of cash
Political office of former tech officers
The phoney y2k scandal and govt mandated tech spending
Microsoft doesn’t pay to play, sued by Feds
Most folks don’t realize just how corrupt this Tech/DNC thing really is.
What does that say about employer HR policies and practices? We should be concerned with how their personal politics influences their hiring and firing decisions.
Sure they are... Those Union Reps who came out of his office smiling just hated him.
Not much, in my opinion. HR does what they're told. The decision to run an H1B shop comes from higher up.
Good morning, posting bot.
I see a golden market opportunity for patriotic tech companies here. Millions of us are sick to death of having to do business with these liberal progressive outfits.
The tech companies were working against Trump in the campaign.

Well yeah, but they do make recommendations.
Yes, but HR operates, more or less, within the parameters set by those that run the company. If upper management instructs them to favor H1B’s, then they do. Management tells HR what positions to fill and at what salary range.
Now, HR doesn’t always do the greatest job of screening and picking applicants, but that’s another matter. They often don’t understand the nuances of the jobs they are hiring for and wind up checking off boxes.
“HR doesnt always do the greatest job of screening and picking applicants, but thats another matter”
Management and HR are usually mutually supporting of each other and it hasn’t necessarily been a good thing for some job seekers, especially for those who are known or even alleged to be supporters of President Trump.
Well, there’s that. But, some companies run the other way.
One of my boys got a job in Atlanta, and the CEO was pointing out the hill on which the Confederates made one of their stands during the civil war. It was in Kennesaw, visible from the higher floors of the building. Kennesaw is where there’s an ordinance mandating gun ownership for able citizens.
They didn’t mind that he was in the National Guard, either.
So, it can run both ways.
