Shifting tactics, Manufactured hysteria
Yesterday we described in several commentaries Immigration Media Frenzy 1.0, which was the liberals and Democrats freaking out over the executive order on immigration by President Trump. The freak-out was based on lies. The order was not a ban on Muslims, it was not illegal, and it was not unconstitutional.
Additionally, the targeted countries had been specifically identified by the previous administration. The Trump Administration simply decided to enforce the laws within its powers. And! Previous administrations had issued similar executive orders.
Wait until tonight if you want to see a real freak out!!
Hey Laz, this is a good point to see if you’re planning on (akin to your countdown of late) a daily cumulative list of “media outrage d’jour”. Would be great if someone had the gumption to keep us reminded of what was deemed “intolerable outrage” and forgotten about within 24-48 hours.

The media is, of course, portraying the Trump team as clumsy and incompetent but I think it may be calculated to give the liberals "outrage fatigue".

McConnell can get this nominee confirmed very easily . Mrs McConnell needs to threaten to cut him off.
The outrage is known as the "2 minute hate" in Orwell's 1984.
Conservatives regard 1984 as a warning. Progressives see it as a blueprint.

The "muslim ban" has been supplanted by the "Monday night massacre" which will be supplanted at 8PM EST tonight.

The Supreme Court nominee will put on the back page immigration from the 7 countries identified by Obama and Congress.
Then Trump will say something outrageous and the Supreme Court Senate hearings will leave the headlines.
Will the elite be able to unify all the various special interests into a unified opposition to Trump?
Will Trump be able to get his facts and opinions out to a majority of the voters without the filtering and slanting by the media?
We could be living in interesting times.
