Considered one of the most popular counterbalance assault rifle ever developed, is also one of the most well sought after. So basically it means for those that want to shoot a fully automatic rifle with control recoil and accuracy, this is it.
AK-107 Info
the upside of this is instead of all of the recoil hitting you in .02s (made up number) it hits you over .03s (made up number). so the impulse is the same, but the average force is lower. the downside of this is that it creates a push pull cycle that creates a cyclic movement of the muzzle. so instead of just applying one constant force to keep the muzzle still, the shooter needs to apply a constantly varying force to compensate for the change in the recoils force and the change in the guns overall center of gravity.
the AK-107 recoil system with the forward moving bolt basically does the opposite. higher force but very consistent. so it will kick a little harder. But the kick is consistent so you only need to apply 1 force constant force making it easier to keep on target (hence the increase in tested accuracy). Think about aiming something heavy, vs aiming something that vibrates. See the footage here, how about you all, shoot anything similar to an AK-107?
I want one!!
What is the semi-automatic model called?
The knock on the 47 is that it is so inaccurate due to the fit of the components. I wonder if the 107 is more accurate?
"Assault rifle?". I wish pro gun writers would wise up and not promote a term that the anti-gunners made up.
Other than that complaint, looks good! I want : )

“Muzzle break up front”
How authoritative are these people supposed to be?
You know, the “front muzzle”, as opposed to the “rear muzzle” where the “clip” fits. Too bad it was broken. They should have installed a working muzzle brake.
That looks REAL stable! A full-auto machine.
Ever get to shoot one of these?
Is there a bipod belt fed model?
“Muzzle break up front”?? WTF? Where else would it be??
Yuri Alexandrov of Russia’s Izhmash, developed the AK-107 as an update to the famed Soviet AK-47.
Its being tested for deployment in the Russian Army as an assault rifle.
If you want an American made AK-47 with the problems removed (not the reverse bolt) and have picatinny rails, just contact me. I have a friend.
IT looks like it is a selective fire rifle - which is, in fact, an assault rifle.
The term was invented by the German Army - sturmgewehr.
Hoplophobes may call the semi-automatic civilian version an ‘assault weapon’ which is a made-up term for firearms they don’t like.

This wasn't your time to be "right": '-)
If it fires a round, "intermediate between pistol and rifle power", and does so fully automatically, (no trigger action required between shots) -- then, it fits the formal military definition of "Assault Rifle".
The meaningless term, "Assault WEAPON" is garbage dreamed up by libwacko hoplophobe dumb@$$3$ to describe any firearm that they deem to be "scary looking" -- based on appearance, not function....
A device that breaks the muzzle, or a device that puts a brake on muzzle climb?
We may never know ::rolls eyes::
Thanks for the correction! Too much celebrating these past few days ; )
I have an air-pistol that is advertised as “recoilless”. It also has two parts that go in opposite directions when the trigger is pulled. It is actually recoilless, as near as I can feel.
I have a couple of ordinary air-pistols that do have recoil. The amount of recoil is not the problem. The problem is that the recoil is the opposite direction of actual firearms recoil. That messes things up for me.
