Maybe they are getting exactly the effect they want: Indoctrination of “progressive” attitudes.
Learning, for them, is irrelevant. If you learn, and most importantly, if you learn how to THINK, you will reject the “progressive” agenda for the propaganda that it is.

I’m reminded of a story that a deceased priest that I knew told me. He was concerned about theological dissent within his order, and wrote with his concerns to the superior. The superior replied with a letter stating that members of the order would never teach anything erronrous. I guess they all became infallible upon making final vows.
