Man tries to light self on fire outside DC Trump hotel

A man ended up at the hospital Tuesday after he tried to light himself on fire outside the Trump International Hotel in Northwest D.C.

Hotel employees called the police and D.C. Fire responded to a call of a man trying to set himself on fire around 9:30 p.m.

NBC Washington reports that the man is from California and is protesting the election of Donald Trump.

In a video the man can be heard saying he tried to light himself on fire as an act of protest.

The man was taken to the hospital with burns. He is expected to be OK.

You would be right today, but it wasn't always so. This particular act influenced a lot of people back in 1963.

The problem with the stupid liberals who still live in the radical world of the 1960's, those they indoctrinate, and those who admire them, is that this is not 1963.

In 1963, that photo shocked the world. It isn't that people weren't used to dead people or pictures of them (WWII and Korea had broken that glass) it was that in 1963, the world wasn't used to people offing themselves as a political statement and having it captured on media to be displayed worldwide.

In 2016, one only has to go to the Internet and type in "suicide" and "political" to see more than you ever want to know.

That is, if you don't want to wait for the evening news where the blonde in the tight dress says with a glint in her eyes "The next segment contains horrific scenes that may not be suitable for all viewers..." knowing full well that is code for "Don't turn the channel because we are going to show you something really graphic".
