The “Intelligence community” has not been on the side of the citizens and the Republic for a very long time.
Every agency, not just the intelligence agencies, needs a thorough housecleaning and fumigation after the Kenyanesian Usurpation.

Pretty weird that the GOP Congress and Obama teamed up to legalize government propaganda directed at Americans and the media didn’t cover the story. If that had happened in the 80’s or 90’s, there would have been a ****storm about this.
They did a reasonable job in Ukraine and Egypt.

The major battleground is currently the part of Asia/Caucasus Brzezinski called “The great chessboard”, with its great natural resources and strategic location, and the S.E. Asian nations that house the $Trillion dollar illicit drug industry.
The Deep State has been using Muslims as a primary weapon against the USSR, Russia and even China (in the Western provinces).
The weapon has started to BLOW BACK on the USA and Europe, big-time.
It is inconceivable to much of the I.C. that Trump might actually negotiate something stable with Russia. IT WOULD DESTROY THEIR raison d’être, not to mention their cash cow.
I can see where the I.C. may think Trump is truly naive. But they can only see the world through Cold-War blinders.
We have to prevail in the spook war in Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan because . . .because . . . just because.
