Fox News has re-signed Bob Beckel to be a co-host of The Five. Juan Williams will remain a Fox News contributor across all programs and continue appear on the program.
Beckel parted ways with Fox News in the middle of 2015, with the network at that time stating that they could no longer be held “hostage to one man’s personal issues.” This followed Beckel spending several months recovering from surgery and being in rehab for an addiction to painkillers.
In today’s announcement, Fox News Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch said “Bob was missed by many fans of The Five and we’re happy to welcome him back to the show.”
Beckel added, “I’m thrilled for the opportunity to go home again and join my television family around the table of The Five. I have no doubt it will be a vigorous yet entertaining debate.”
Beckel first joined Fox News as a contributor in 2000 and then rejoined the network in 2011 as one of the original co-hosts of The Five. After exiting Fox, he was with CNN for a short time as a commentator.
Probably cleaned up from his latest stint in rehab.

I may not agree with Beckel on a number of things but he is personable and helped make the show a success. I like that he says what he believes, not a propagandist like Williams.
Well, it will make for an interesting show, that’s for sure!
Awesome, if this means Williams is off The 5. Can’t stand him. Beckel is bound to stroke out on the air sooner or later. Trump will send him over the edge....

Trying to explain the liberal point of view is hard, very hard.....the LPOV (liberal point of view) always fails the common sense test and the US Constitution test...Beckel however, is a cut above Williams, an apologist for Hillary, was so far out there, you wondered about his mental health.
Beckel is Williams with a personality. I like Beckel because of what he does in the community. As far as The Five, Beckel is definitely comic relief.
I hated him, but I hate Juan MORE because he MONOPOLIZED the entire hour! Plus he’s just as stupid as Bob.
