John Lewis Makes A Fool of Himself On Capitol Hill... by refusing to attend the 2017 Inauguration. Lewis is apparently outraged over the loss of his party leader's bid for the presidency. Although Donald J. Trump won thirty of the fifty states and more individual counties than any other U.S. president since President Reagan, Lewis has been unable to accept his party's defeat. Accepting an uncomfortable loss is a life experience that escapes John R. Lewis, a man of 76 years of age.
Lewis can be found declaring the President-Elect was not legitimately elected and promising to forego the Inauguration. Lewis has garnered media attention with his denial and denouncement of President-Elect Trump.
President-Elect Trump responded in tweets on Saturday:
Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime-infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk no action or results. Sad!
It is noteworthy that Congressman Lewis has represented Georgia's 5th Congressional district since 1987. This area includes almost 75% of the city of Atlanta and about 60% of constituents are African American. Both crime and unemployment rates are much higher than national average. His district ranks a 2 on a scale of 100 within the Violent Crime Index, with 100 being the safest. In other words, 98% of American cities are much safer. https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/ga/atlanta/crime/
Others have leapt to his support. Politicians, entertainers and other progressive supporters circled the wagons to defend Lewis. While more outspoken, Lewis is repeating an attitude shared by many sore-losers within his party. The attempt to delegitimize the Trump presidency began as soon as Democrat party leaders realized that Hillary Clinton had lost.
In collaboration with the media, Democrat leaders began demanding the U.S. Constitution be amended to favor the popular vote. Step two involved recounting 'cherry-picked' states to overturn election results. Step three involved threatening and protesting state electors and state governments to change their vote. Step four centered upon blaming Russian hackers. Hackers have been blamed for every mistake of Clinton's campaign except for the actual process of hacking.
Shortly after their political defeat, civil rights activists led by Rev Al Sharpton began scheduling a week of protests ahead of Mr Trumps inauguration. Hundreds of protesters (both activist and paid recruits) have begun to march to the MLK Jr Memorial in Washington DC, chanting No justice, no peace." Meanwhile, Lewis is appearing on talk shows stating, I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected, he told NBCs Meet the Press. And they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.
John Lewis has become the political poster child for sore losers and is taking the Democrat party down with him.
Atlanta can keep John Lewis at home far away from the Inaugural events; he has nothing positive to contribute. Congressman Lewis is an embarrassment to the city of Atlanta, the state of Georgia and the U.S. Congress.
Lead story today Else other Democrats join him in boycotting the inauguration. They can’t get enough of how divided the nation is., failing to acknowledge that Obama had everything to do with this during the past eight years.
Lewis is a prime example of “there is no fool like an old fool.”
He’s as stupid as that other Georgia congressman who said that Guam would tip over if we added more Navy personnel.
Let him stay home, and sulk and pout.
Call a waambulance for this crybaby. Wa wa.... wa wa.. wa wa here it comes.
Huge egos
Thin skins
He hasn't the ability to choose another option!
Lewis is 76 years old going on 3, there’s a condition that causes that and I hope he’s not suffering the onset of it.
No.
Those who declared him one of the Untouchables, certainly are.
Lewis can dish it but he can’t take it.

The GBI reports are by county, not congressional district. The majority of the 5th District is also the majority of Fulton County. The District includes a part of DeKalb and Clayton counties and excludes a small part of northern Fulton County.

Remind me, who bought all those rifles, pistols and ammunition the last 8 years? Was that Mr. Lewis’s constituents?
My only concern is that John Lewis should not be given unwarranted significance in the current context. Who cares if he doesn’t attend the inauguration, let all the ‘rats stay away if they want.
FIFY
So what if John Lewis stays away. He will not be missed.

Do you find anything relating to solving the inner city problems in his district?
Also, Diamond and Silk have a few words for him:

Lewis is on a roll. As a Demonicrat, Lewis has already demonstrated that he is a lying murdering traitor. Let's hope that following his trial, conviction and sentencing, Lewis can demonstrate his skill as a rope tester.
Great info!
