[ “The say, look, we’re all going to agree that we’ll blackout Donald Trump’s tweets, for let’s say, a week,” Reid noted. “Starve him of the thing he needs most, which is free publicity. He literally is like a machine that feeds on attention and publicity.” ]

Trump ain’t using twitter to talk tot he press, he is using it to talk to the people.... DIRECTLY

The media will never understand this...

I worked in a major campaign years ago (i.e., before the Internet). We’d put out multiple “press releases” virtually every day - faxed to 20 or so news organizations...

That’s as far as they got. Never reached the voters. Being a conservative, the media figured that the best option was to block off access to the candidate...and it worked - the leftist won.

The media is having a VERY TOUGH TIME dealing with the fact that they are no longer needed when Trump has 19 million follows (20 million actually, I just joined, LOL). The media obviously wants to try to spin what Trump says, but ONLY because they’re reaching many millions of people, which is why they keep reacting to his says.

They’re cornered...ignore him at their own peril, or respond to try to get control over what the public hears - but it’s a futile effort on their part, and it effectively drives even more people to directly follow him.

Exactly. Plus they just can't help themselves from covering and trying to spin his Tweets.

Like Ronald Reagan's time in Hollywood, Donald Trump used his time on reality TV to learn how to play these schmucks. It is going to be fun watching them foam at the mouth for the next four years and, hopefully, eight.

For years, you would listen to the top of the hour news, even on Rush stations, and the lead story was:

Not, what the Republicans said or did . . . it was what the Democrats said or did in response to the Republicans.

The first news report of every story was and still is the Democrat spin of the story.

Now, Trump has Tweeter. Life is sweet.

I am not on Twitter but anyone can just go to twitter.com/realdonaldtrump and read the latest tweets.

Is this the new talking point? Wasn’t it last week some CNN dork said to ignore Trump’s tweets to force a press conference?

Fools! If they didn’t cover his tweets. We the people would get his message without their filter. Thus, they would prove how unnecessary they all are!

Go on we double dare you!

The LSM has nothing to do w/o the tweets. We don’t need to stinkin’ hacking around with “context” and “filtration”.

They misunderstand are afraid of Twitter. The whole point is that we can read his words for ourselves without the media filter. That drives them totally buggy.

We don’t miss the “old gotcha” press conferences with the whining and lying liberal mediots telling us what to believe and how to vote!

Official Washington is being traumatized by the tweets of Donald Trump.

Politico has chronicled the pearl clutching concern by the inside the beltway types over Trump's tweets. It seems Trump speaking directly to the people via Twitter is causing a crisis among politicians and lobbyists, who just don't know how to handle it as reflected in the article title, Trump’s Twitter feed traumatizes Washington.

“Trump ain’t using twitter to talk tot he press, he is using it to talk to the people.... DIRECTLY”

And I guarantee that the minute the media tried this, Twitter would somehow have a technological problem or “system upgrade” which would keep it out of commission for a week or so.

Joy Reid doesn’t get how Twitter works. Someone tell her.

Don’t use big words though.

Also, Trump has a producer’s credit on Apprentice. If they make money, he makes money. He should be supporting the show, rather than trashing it. Trump’s ego supersedes his business interests, which is scary to contemplate considering he’s about to become President of the United States.

Exactly. It get retweeted, put on facebook, put in emails...total bypass of the media. Hope they don't figure this out anytime soon.

He also has 17.9 million followers on Facebook.

He posts there also what he tweets.

“Free publicity”???? Seems like the press forgot what they are suppose to do. Isn’t their job to report news not create it, or be it?

The media people have lost their seat at the decision table, they never should have had it.

They should ignore DT’s tweets. Ya right, you first.
