We still had the inflation. If it takes a year or two to repeal totally thats fine. In either case, in 15 days or two years the system still will consist of payers and non payers. Illegals come over, walk into a hospital and have a baby. No insurance, no nothing. The cost of that bill still gets passed onto us. I just want them to get it right.
Your last sentence is spot on. Tort control but thats going to come down to Trump himself because most all politicians are tone deaf. Lawyers will lobby them and the cost of lawsuits will remain out of control.
well FRiend, let’s cut to the chase shall we: romney/obamacare was ***intentionally designed*** to get you (and me) killed and destroy this nation from the inside out. it sounds like you may be blinded by fear to this essential fact (by the way, i am a cancer survivor and was a medical instrumentation engineer so i know the current system from many different angles, i also know obamacare pretty well because i actually read the initial bill).
Trump has exactly 4 years to turn this failed nation around. ridding us of ACA and gov’t debt is the lynch pin of that process. it may be too much to do already. he absolutely cannot spare you or me one minute if that is to happen. try to understand. whatever Trump does in the next 4 years is going to hurt a lot if it works at all. i pray that he succeeds. my guess is that he’s going to be very unpopular for at least 3 years of his first term, unless he caves completely.

Men made up the concept of money. It isn’t all that real. We just structure civilization around it, but as was recently proven, you don’t have to care about that. You can just created 25% of GDP via QE and not care.
So don’t care too much about healthcare debt.
You’re probably right, but about 8 years ago I was quoted $220./mo. for a high ded. policy for 2 people age 55+. Adding 10’s of thousands of younger people to the pool now that they could afford a policy would help. We would need an actuary to go over the pool. Bringing down costs by 50+ percent does a lot to reduce the policy premium. Remember that Medicaid/Medicare reimburses docs & hospitals about 15-20 cents on the dollar billed.
You win by building a coalition of voters. Part or Trumps promise was that he would repeal and replace Obamacare with something better. Repeal it alone and you will lose part of that voting base.
Do both and do it well and his voter base will increase.
Agreed. Repeal the whole thing. Then pass a small replacement that keeps whatever popular elements (keeping “children” on parental policies to age 26) they need to maintain. As for the effect on the budget, fix that after the repeal and keep the Obamacare taxes and current enrollments until the end of the year. No new enrollments for those who did not enroll already.
The law has already blown massive holes in my budget.
