John McCain should have been tried for influence peddling by the Justice Department in the early 1990’s. He and four other Senators were bought and paid for by Charles Keating, the wealthy S&L magnate. However, the George H.W. Bush Justice Department did not due its duty, nor did the Senate which should have expelled McCain and the other four Senators involved in the Keating 5 scandal. Once again the Senate proved it was incapable of policing the ethics of its members.
The voters of Arizona are responsible for returning McCain to the Senate. George H.W. Bush is responsible for keeping him out of jail.

McCain got exactly what he wanted in 2008. He did not give up his job as Senator. He never intended to win. He has been copresident since 2008. He was Obamas and Hillary’s point man in Libya, Syria, Ukraine and Egypt. And he still has 2 1/2 weeks to start war with Russia.

Well stated. We voted for him as the only alternative to Barry O, and he let us down then and proves his worthlessness every day since...

No; we don't. The conservatives among us voted for Kelli Ward; a true conservative. Not this mentally diseased husk. He should have done the right thing and retired but he is too ignorant and power hungry to do that. The two sisters, McLame and Grahamnesty, are a thorn in the side of American politics. They aren't dems, pubbies, greenies, or libertarians; they are just a big pain in the ass... period.
My hope is somehow the two can be made impotent, maybe censured, and regulated to shuffling paperwork somewhere. They don't even deserve that but they are elected. Now if we can show proof of a bonifide crime which would require them to resign then McLame could be replaced by a conservative by our conservative Governor Ducey. Good guy so far. Not sure about Linda Grahamnesty and whether or not the Governor of her state is a conservative or not.
McLame was elected on name recognition alone. There are people here who still think of him as a hero because they don't know any better like we do.
