New York Times Gasps: Trump Likely to “Hinder Press as Conduit For Information”
The Conservative Treehouse (quoting NYT article) ^ | sundance

NEW YORK TIMES:.....Mr. Trump’s unconventional, sometimes hostile, relationship with the news media and his penchant for communicating through unfiltered Twitter posts threaten to upend a decades-old Washington tradition that relies almost entirely on protocol. The result, reporters and editors say, could be a loss of transparency that would hinder the press’s role as a conduit for information to the people.

If the press acted as a conduit instead of a propaganda filter it would be used.

“to upend a decades-old Washington tradition that relies almost entirely on protocol”. Isn’t this one of the reasons we elected pres-elect Trump? I don’t see it as a problem...

The press hindered itself. It has almost totally discredited itself.

Trump’s only involvement was to point it out for the few who hadn’t already noticed.

Has the “conduit for information to the people” told America about finding of Obama’s fake Birth Certificate yet?

Even cutting a dead, diseased sapling down to make paper for the “press” is an abomination and a crime against nature. These lunatics have been exposed for the chronic liars and misfits that they are.

I hope it is one of the last gasps from the NYT. Put the DNC propaganda machine, posing as news, to rest.

To the mainstream media--your problem.

Once WikiLeaks "outed" the direct links between the MSM and the Democratic National Committee, Americans immediately distrusted them in no time flat. Trump's victory essentially repudiates their reputation, probably for good.

What are they complaining about now?

If they don’t get access, it won’t matter.

They will continue to falsify news as they have done over the past years.

Memo to the Slimes:
The way news is NOW disseminated has US citizens getting national & International news only after it has been filtered through a liberal strainer to remove impurities (contradictions to liberal-Democrat thought).
This "purified" news product is then printed in hundreds of newspapers where it is then reproduced by TV news networks in all its liberalized purity.
I believe what the new president wants to do is simply to eliminate (don't be frightened by the word eliminate, liberals) the middle man.

The result, reporters and editors say, could be a loss of transparency that would hinder the press’s role as a conduit for information to the people.

The NYT and other leftist newspapers have no transparency to lose! The Drudge Report was created because of a lack of transparency by the left wing media. Remember the Lewinsky affair? The press tried to suppress that news, but failed because of the DRUDGE REPORT and the internet.

The press continues its leftist biased "reporting" and continues to violate responsible journalism and transparency.

The press cannot figure that out? They have created a vacuum that is being filled in by those who practice responsible, ethical journalism.

Here is the problem. The media is accustomed to being spoon fed press releases which they reprint with no verification.

But on principle, the media will not do for Trump what they have previously done.

So the media is faced with actually having to work to get the news. But the media has forgotten how to work. And they resent being put in this spot.

“Wow how many lies can they pack in one sentence?”
It sure is impressive. However, they have the expertise and experience to do that.

They cannot stand it when they have to cover Trump’s tweets.

They can’t just ignore his tweets into oblivion they way they ignore other, outside-of-narrative news. And Trump’s tweet establishes the “what is this news about?” So becomes the the lead with the Old Media then frantically trying to rebut everything he says and does. But he makes them start with his point.

“Trump can tweet and I can read it. The press can tweet what they think is good or bad about what Trump and I can read that. It seems like I ought to be able to discern through this method fairly easily. All is out in the open for all to read and decide.”

At some point, the press will realize they are helping him when they go bonkers about his tweets. So they will try to boycott covering them for a bit on the ground that tweets are not newsworthy.

It won’t work.
