Over the course of the 2016 presidential campaign, liberal pundits loved to hand-wring about “norms,” namely with regard to how Trump had allegedly violated so many cherished ones. Trump infamously declined to preemptively endorse the veracity of the election results, and this was taken as a big, historic affront, warranting several days’ worth of continuous news coverage. In fairness, it’s probably true that Trump in some sense did defy longstanding “norms” by casting a degree of doubt over whether the election results could be trusted. But that’s history now. Let’s take a look at a new norm violation underway — and this one’s a real barn-burner.
Leading pundits and “think-fluencers” have taken to openly promoting the notion of an Electoral College coup — meaning, the extreme and radical idea that Electors should defy centuries of settled precedent, subvert the will of their states’ voters and refuse to vote for Trump, thus blocking him from the presidency. Nothing like this has ever happened before in US history, and it would fundamentally upend assumptions about how the national electoral process works. Almost certainly, it would produce a full-blown Constitutional Crisis.

Someone is blasting out the talking points to all the Talking Heads. They might try this...for real.
This was their plan B for anything that goes wrong for the Democrats.
Who could have guessed within a generation Dems would turn into Sen. Joe McCarthy; seeing Russians behind everything.
The Russians did NOT hack the voting machines.
At most, if even that, they helped Wikileaks.
The Podesta e-mails were written to and by him, not by the Russians. The RATS are desperate and are grasping at straws.
There’s going to be a lot of dead people if they try this. Trump’s already got the security forces, rural fighters, and the cops on his side. Once the killing starts it’s going to be almost impossible to stop it short of a full purge. Very bad news.
Senator McCarthy has been proven right. Research the Venona cables and the now released senate transcripts.
Defaming McCarthy is one of my pet peeves. I expect Libs to be ignorant, but I would hope conservatives know their history.
notice not one Democrat has said that the WikiLeaks emails were bogus or made up. All They did was complain that they were exposed.

I see this business with messing with the electors as a devious scheme to both try to ruin and split the gop, as well as a way to hopefully get Hillary in in the process.
Everything will be just fine.
Just the latest “doomsday scenario” that will go nowhere at all. 18 months of people floating every wild theory—they’ll rig this, they’ll rig that, they’ll change the convention rules, they’ll steal all the delegates, Curly Hoagland will do something or other, they’ll put in Kasich, they’ll put in Ryan, they’ll put in Bush. They’ll steal the election through vote fraud. Now it this bunk.
Lot of angst over absolutely nothing, and lots of very short memories.
Notice Obama is ordering an investigation into Russian Hacking? They are going to try and get this evidence via fraud and then get to SC. However, SC is still 4-4 so won’t go anywhere. Unless Obama tries to put SC judge in over recess. They are going to fight this until Jan 20th.
To have a chance, they have to show evidence, fake or not from Pennsylvania and or Wisconsin. They have certainly been laying the groundwork. Obama announcing a review, and the CIA leak to the WP is no coincidence.
Or at a minimum, disenfranchise those states to close the gap for their Hamilton elector BS. There are some nutcases out there actively trying to align with Dem electors to give a majority to Kasich or McMuffin.
I believe you are wrong. Even Obama has flatly said that the results of the election were accurate and represented the will of the country. He’s said this several times. All they are doing is messing with the wikileaks angle and some alleged “fake news” stories and trying to gin it into talking points for the next 4 years. No one, including the CIA, has so much as hinted that the actual election apparatus was compromised. Relax, Trump will be sworn in on schedule. This is about the 50th “doomsday scenario” in 18 months. The first 49 failed to materialize, but people still keep torturing themselves thinking up new ones.
Where’s the “martial law” we were told was inevitable? Where’s the “last minute rules changes to the RNC rules to put in Kasich, Bush, Ryan, etc.?
Where’s the “massive fraud will deny Trump the election”? It’s all b.s.

Maybe they should consider that they ran the worst, most flawed candidate since Reagan beat Carter.
Any excuse but the truth for their failure. I hate Democrats.
