California Democrat Vows to ‘Fight in the Streets’ Over Illegal Immigration

California's Sanctuary Cities

California’s new Democrat supermajority used Monday’s usually congenial legislative swearing-in ceremonies to ram through Assembly and Senate resolutions insisting President-elect Donald Trump abandon his immigration deportation policies—at least in California.

California is home to the largest illegal-alien population in the country, with 35 sanctuary cities. President-elect Trump has vowed to build a border wall and deport immigrants that have a criminal record, which he estimates to be two-three million.

Absolutely. Do it on their dime! If California wants to be a sanctuary State, have at it, but do it on your own dime. No need to fight.

Maybe the illegals can claim they are refugees and get resettled somewhere in the EU.

There are a number of places which the US will need to lease. San Diego naval base, Vadenberg AFB, etc,

California is reading the wrong playbook.

They don’t seem to understand that the rest of us do not need to pay for their decisions. And truly, if they value their commitment, they should pay for it...they can claim their states “rights” and I’ll agree to that.

We shall see how committed they are when they find out that their States Rights, do not TRUMP all the others.

Close every military base and move them to a Red state

Move the entire Pacific Fleet to Alaska?

Let’s just redouble our deportation efforts, Donald. This is a fight worth having and I promise I won’t get ‘tired’ of winning.

The Supreme Court when it ruled against Arizona (who was copying Federal law) said that the Federal government trumps all in the matter of immigration.

This would include the states, cities and universities.

I’m sure the liberal court will suddenly change its mind when Trump takes office though. :)

Where building the wall is not practical, drones can patrol that area. No nonsense, armed drones.

Since they can be controlled from anywhere, I, and many other seniors, would stand watches for free. Give us old timers something we can do for our country.

Kalifornia is using illegal immigration to commit election fraud in support of the Democratic Party. Can they make it any more obvious ?

Exactly right. San Francisco can get some more... ‘dimes’ by increasing the fee on all ‘tha boys who go to the queer bath houses. (hope they have their own funds for aids hospices in Calif...as that money will also diminish!)

Have to disagree here. Fedzilla is there to crack down on the abuse of Rights by the States; as they *should* have done w/ the start of these ‘sanctuary cities’, 2nd A. infringements, anti-5th/welfare...instead, they collaborated and exacerbated the problem(s).

The Fed has NO authority to collect, let alone ‘spend’, taxpayer $$ on 99.9% of what it calls a ‘budget’; but States have no authority to flout the immigration policy set by Law. Let the State(s) keep their $$, but they should run out on rails vs. the latter.

Fight the lack of federal funds in sanctuary cities.
In the streets or perhaps they will find themselves as streetwalkers.

I’m all for states rights. The fed has no authority in this area. It is not the Feds right to crack down on state issues. Having said that, the federal government has no authority or obligation to fund any states rights issue either.

If California wants to support illegals, fine. They can do so with state funds, not federal funds.

“The streets” is one of those thread bare phrases like “struggle” that the left find so romantic. They tend to have a poodle level of domestication and have no concept that life outside a benevolent coddling city exists. “The streets” are the outdoors to them. After all, it’s not Mommy’s basement so it must be the great outdoor battlefield. They need to move their “struggle” to the rural areas and see how well they do. It would be a rude awakening to see the fellow travelers next to you stop a broad head arrow. Welcome to Mayberry D.O.A.
