USA Today Washington Bureau Chief: Dem Party ‘hollowed out’ in for ‘world of hurt’
Canada Free Press ^ | 12/05/16 | Robert Laurie

Four years of pain.

As I’ve pointed out before, the Democrats didn’t just lose an election in November. Their defeat wasn’t as simple as one presidential race. As I wrote on Election Day, this one was for all the marbles. Generations of liberal progressive ideology - both past and future - were on the 2016 ballot. Had Democrats won, they would have owned the Supreme Court and the concept of the United States as a constitutionally-limited republic would have been decimated.

Instead, the left was roundly rejected.

And who better to lead a hollowed out Dem party than Nancy Pelosi and Keith Ellison, right?

Sounds like Maryland. The corruption is so bad, they actually names the State Senate Office Building after the SITTING Senate Majority Leader.

My former Republican State Senator was proud about getting a law passed. When I realized just what high level of liberal insanity she was up against, I realized what a huge accomplishment that actually was.

“Exactly why the dems had such a headlong rush to import new illegal immigrant voters into the US”

And they imported most of them into California which was already Democrat. Law of unintended consequences.

The problem for the Democrats is not that they lost. It’s that they have no idea why they lost.

And are busy trying to convince themselves they did not actually lose.

GOD granted us another chance

As a, not particularly religious yet firm believer, I think so. You could feel it that night. It was palpable.

They don’t care. Power belongs to them for no reason except they want it and demand it, so they’ll keep trying to get it back in any way possible. All that matters is they are in total control and we are slaves.

Sociopaths.

You are correct as to its original usage. But in the modern usage, the word means exactly what the commenter wrote:

dec·i·mate (verb)

1. kill, destroy, or remove a large percentage or part of:

--"the project would decimate the fragile wetland wilderness" ·

--"the American chestnut, a species decimated by blight"

2. (historical) kill one in every ten of (a group of soldiers or others) as a punishment for the whole group.

The problem for the Democrats is not that they lost. It’s that they have no idea why they lost.

And don't appear to care. These are people who consider themselves masters of introspection and analysis and now find themselves in the position of a delicatessen owner who sees that his crap sandwiches aren't selling and concludes that he needs more crap in them.

Part of this, I suspect, is that with the hard-Left swing came a certain ideological rigidity that denies them the ability to adjust because any adjustment involves impurity of their perfect thought. Folks like that tend to be hard to reach. When you suggest to them that perhaps they're insulting and demonizing more people than they're attracting, and the answer comes back that those people need to be insulted and demonized, you're pretty much at the end of rational discourse.

Good observation! To continue your analogy, the owner is also blaming his customers for not buying his sandwiches. It's not that the sandwiches are bad. It's the customers...they are some combination of stupid and hateful.

<>GOD granted us another chance<>

Indeed. We must use this respite, this window to restructure our governing forms so that we need not fear the rise of another Obama.
