The dignity of work and self sufficiency is back in style.

The residual effects of the Trump victory are mostly intangible - but they are real.

God bless America, and God bless Donald J. Trump.

For now. It's our history that good men build our economy and, once it's prosperous, the leeches swarm in to buy votes with freebies.

We are witnessing a tectonic shift in politics. A shift of historic proportions. The Republicans are quickly becoming the party of the working class and the Democrats the party of the privileged elite.

The Democrats are in absolute panic mode. For decades, they've been able to keep the masses on their plantation as they continued to steer us towards a one-world secular and socialist government.

We are truly witnessing history take place.

I swelled with American pride watching Trump visit Carrier after he saved
over 1000 hard working Carrier employee jobs.

I can only imagine the emotions of those Carrier employees.

#WINNING ALREADY!

If this Trump’s promise of MAGA is made good, then watch his base really grow. It will mean doom for the commies in mid-terms, and the final death knell for them in 2020.

They have nothing positive to offer, just hatred, bashing of America, of other libs, name calling, class warfare. Just nothing but threats and fear mongering. We just do not need it.

I have mixed emotions about the whole Carrier deal.

I'm happy a couple thousand Americans get to keep their jobs but, unfortunately, those are Union jobs. So the Union reps get to keep their jobs as well. And the employees get to keep having their pockets picked in the form of Union dues which will go largely to 'RAT candidates.

Awright. I'm ready for it. Commence flaming.

I LOVE the thesis of this article . . . that if the election were held today Trump would win by a MUCH WIDER MARGIN.

Dims may have really screwed the pooch this time.

Maybe they should just merge with the communist party and accept a position of permanent marginalization.

Not need for flaming.

The fact that we are talking about saving American jobs is a great
conversation to have.

We can agree or disagree on the details of how to do it.
But at least we are talking about it.
And that is a good start.

The Republicans are just reclaiming what was once theirs to begin with. Look at the Republican 1924 platform text:

Tariffs:

We reaffirm our belief in the protective tariff to extend needed protection to our productive industries. We believe in protection as a national policy, with due and equal regard to all sections and to all classes. It is only by adherence to such a policy that the well being of the consumers can be safeguarded that there can be assured to American agriculture, to American labor and to American manufacturers a return to perpetrate American standards of life. A protective tariff is designed to support the high American economic level of life for the average family and to prevent a lowering to the levels of economic life prevailing in other lands.

In the history of the nation the protective tariff system has ever justified itself by restoring confidence, promoting industrial activity and employment, enormously increasing our purchasing power and bringing increased prosperity to all our people.

The tariff protection to our industry works for increased consumption of domestic agricultural products by an employed population instead of one unable to purchase the necessities of life. Without the strict maintenance of the tariff principle our farmers will need always to compete with cheap lands and cheap labor abroad and with lower standards of living.

The enormous value of the protective principle has once more been demonstrated by the emergency tariff act of 1921 and the tariff act of 1922.

We assert our belief in the elastic provision adopted by congress in the tariff act of 1922 providing for a method of readjusting the tariff rates and the classifications in order to meet changing economic conditions when such changed conditions are brought to the attention of the president by complaint or application.

We believe that the power to increase or decrease any rate of duty provided in the tariff furnishes a safeguard on the one hand against excessive taxes and on the other hand against too high customs charges.

The wise provisions of this section of the tariff act afford ample opportunity for tariff duties to be adjusted after a hearing in order that they may cover the actual differences in the cost of production in the United States and the principal competing countries of the world.

We also believe that the application of this provision of the tariff act will contribute to business stability by making unnecessary general disturbances which are usually incident to general tariff revisions.

Most manufacturing jobs are non union. 90-10 ratio of non union to union. Unionism is almost dead.

I predicted a Trump landslide in 2016. Even the popular vote. I was wrong about the popular vote.

Well if everything goes right the real Trump landslide will be in 2020. 50 state sweep like Reagan. Ok maybe only 45....

“Democrats the party of the privileged elite.”

You failed to mention all of their “attributes”....
devil worshipers, thiefs, murders.

As I understand it, the Carrier jobs are Union.

Yes some union jobs will be saved. The ratio will be 10:1 non union saved to union. So don’t fret over unions. There are 27 R-T-W states to suck up factory work.

The Union Bosses are there, but what they didn’t and still don’t understand, just because the Union Bosses vote Liberal doesn’t mean the ‘work force’ does and DIDN’T!!!

The ratio will be 10:1 non union saved to union.

IF the deal Trump cut applies to all manufacturing jobs in Indiana then you might be right. If this deal applies strictly to Carrier, then the ratio is 0:1 non-union saved to Union saved.
