Personally, I have a hard time sitting still or being slow in anything.

I'd LOVE to be able to do Tai Chi, but I just can't liiiiifffffftttt ttthhheeeee mmmmooooonnnnnn ssslllloooowwwlllyyyy bbbrrreeeaaattthhhiiinnnggg innnnn annnnnnd ouuuuut aaaaaannnnnd ....

If the Tai Chi doesn’t have “standing exercise” or something similar as a primary core strengthening exercise its not worth doing.

Believe it or not, Tai Chi properly taught as a martial art is a devastating martial art. It’s a martial art built around joint locks, where you “disturb” your opponents balance and he falls into the joint lock.

It’s difficult to find a Tai Chi instructor who will teach it as a martial art. Most of the instructors at Rec Centers are New Age hippie types. They don’t even know its a martial art and would be horrified to find that out!
