he two million number materialized well before Trump repeated it in his recent 60 Minutes interview. He used the figure in a number of his rallies, including his infamous, Phoenix speech, in which he outlined his immigration plan, and it appears in his plan for the first 100 days in office. The Trump team even shared its official source for the two million criminal immigrant figure with the Washington Post: a 2013 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) budget report to Congress.
So, go ahead, open the report, and scroll to page 1092. You too will find the following line: ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] estimates that 1.9 million removable criminal aliens are in the United States today. Since its publication, the Migration Policy Institute, FiveThirtyEight, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and others have all used this number, citing the report.
But as they say, the devil is in the details, or in this case, the footnote.
Heres the breakdown of ICEs footnoted explanation of its methodology for reaching the figure of 1.9 million . . . .

SANCTUARY CITIES
For the record the data can indicate there are actually between 11 million and 30 million illegal aliens in the US. Obama certainly has lied to us yet again.
Bfl...where’d you get those maps?...would like to have
Click on the maps....get the URL for the source.

Upto 1993 and post-1993 difference.
Thank Treas Sec Rubin for the dramatic increase in Mexican immigrants (legal and illegal). Bill’s Treas Sec destroyed the Maquiladora factories in Mexico and sent all those Mexican jobs to Asia. Mexicans came to the USA for the jobs.
Prior to the 1920s there was no such thing as an illegal immgrant.
There were laws that said prostitutes, indigent (welfare parasites) and Chinese and other undesireables could not immigrate. But they only targeted specific categories of undesireables.
We should go back to the pre-1920s days. Define undesireables and build immigration laws around them.
Undesireables 1) Terrorists, Terrorist sympathizers, People who don't support our Constitution and Bill of Rights. 2) Murderers, rapists, DUI drivers and similar. 3) Welfare parasites. No immigrant legal, illegal or refugee should come here to collect EBT, SNAP, WIC, TANF, Sec8, etc.
They ALL need to go back to their own countries.
Yes, start with the violent criminals - - then the rest of 'em.
IF we have to have 24 million Hispanics then send this bunch OF ILLEGALS home - AND bring in 10+ MILLION HONEST HISPANICS WHO HAVE BEEN WAITING IN LINE FOR YEARS.
He needs to trash Obama’s love of illegal scum on Day One...
No question.
The problem with trying to count them, is that all the data everyone is using is based upon headcounts of people we know about. How many are being hidden all up and down the left coast, Texas, and all the other locations that are not fessing up to their being there, could be millions again. In some research I did for another board, I discovered that at the time of that research, there were over 50,000 in the LA county jail just sitting there and ICE wasn’t preparing them for shipment. How many of them are actually out there? God only knows.

Newsflash. Those allegedly patiently waiting in line are already here illegally.
To my IT co-worker who is honest with me because he knows I’m pro-illegals like him, I ask: What’s your immigration status.
In progress is his reply. That means he doesn’t have squat now. But he is patiently waiting in line to get his papers.
My wife entered illegally, married me and then patiently waited in line for her papers.
That is the real world.
Sometimes the ‘real world’ changes and we have what’s called a ‘new normal’. This is going to change... big time.
