Mr. Schoen knows all about what these people are about but this time he's SHOCKED! Made me laugh. That's why he's been my best bud for so long.
Clinton finally became too toxic for Doug Shoen’s business which is polling and selling political advice. He realizes she is going down and that he needs to put as much distance between himself and Her Royal Thighness as possible before she self-destructs.
He also likely knows that Huma Weiner is in big trouble and that she will roll on Hillary to get less prison time for herself.
She is 69 and her health is collapsing.
This is a low-risk move for Schoen.
Huma will just be added onto Obama’s massive list for PARDONMAGEDDON in January.
Huma, Hillary, Lois Lerner.....prepare to be outraged when they all skate.
Shoen is more afraid of what they can’t make “go away” than what the Clintons can do to him. He’s just reading the wind.
There will be an open legal question of whether Obama can pardon himself, and if he pardons all these traitors, he better hope the DC Circuit finds that he can.
People here were fawning all over Schoen last Saturday. Rush got it right: He’s known these people are scum for 30 years. He’s just now bailing? F*** him. Between now and the election Dougie will be back on the reservation....

I am ignorant about these things, but can you get pardoned - by a governor or a president - for something you haven’t yet been cited for? I’d like one for speeding tickets, please.
Rush’s insight was that if Schoen, who has been perfectly comfortable working next to the Clinton sleaze for 30 years, feels the need to publicly announce he’s backing away, then this suggests that what’s going down with Hillary is HUGE.
I'm not so sure about Hillary. There's no love lost between the Clintons and Obama. What's more, given her recent Icarus-like plunge in DemocRAT likeability (among the power brokers), he probably feels no need to lend a hand. My guess is he'd feel a juicy joy in kicking her to the curb should she crash and burn.
Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon upon taking office in 1974. At that point in time Nixon had been convicted of nothing.
Public anger over that was the major reason Ford lost the ‘76 election and we got saddled with Jimmah Cahtah for four years.

If it’s enough that even an old-time ally like Schoen is moving away from them, it’s probably pretty major.
