Drudge: Trump's Best Speech (at Trump Washington Hotel Grand Opening)

Trump spoke beautiful poetry today at his short speech before the ribbon-cutting at the new Trump hotel in Washington DC -- the Old Post Office.

His tone was very subdued. He used a metaphor comparing the American people's potential to the old Post Office that was neglected and not taken care of for decades -- beautiful.

Gee, if Trump keeps giving speeches like this, he can't help but win. So he's mixing it up -- he roughs up Hillary at the rallies, but he also elevates the discussion by explaining the dream of what American can truly be if each American thinks like a champion.

I've heard Ronald Reagan give pep talks to America.

To me, this was more special. Trump was more conversational: it was as if you were listening to him in a quiet living room. Very well done, considering he was reading from the teleprompter :- )

Here was a man of great accomplishment and leadership speaking directly to the individual soul of each voter. Quite stirring. Echoes of his Gettysburg address too.

This quote from that speech should be etched in stone on the side of every Trump property, and should be the theme of Trump's campaign from this point on:

"I've been very lucky, and I've led a great life. Now I want to give back to the country which I love so much, and has been so good to me."

You'll never hear this heartfelt sentiment from any Democratic pr!ck in this country.

He did great! His best ever. He is coming into his own. In this speech he realizes or expresses that he realizes what is at stake and is forging a dream, a vision of what we can be again.

He is right about all he said in this speech.

I have been for Trump since the beginning. The early interview with his butler way back last year convinced me he is worthy of loyalty. He has thousands of people working for him. Not one has come forward with a complaint or expose of scandal. He has done deals with people all over the world. Not one has said he cheated me. Some have said he beat me but none ever said he cheated me. These things are a considerable recommendation. Much better than the politicans can muster.

I hope and pray he can win the Presidency.

In my mind, though, that is all preamble to this presidential run. In my mind, he is the one who has stepped out from the crowd, as every word he has spoken has been electrifying and inspiring. I can’t think of anyone who has historically matched him in the arena of presidential campaigning.

I too have been with Trump from the day he came down the escalator.  You could tell by they way he spoke he was someone very special.  And yes, his experience and reputation in the business world is incredible.

Critics are always saying: "But he has no political experience!"  Poppycock.  You can't build skyscrapers in big cities unless you know politics like the back of your hand.

And something very new and exciting Trump brings to the Oval Office is his understanding of the economy and the world of finance!

What does Hillary know about finance?  All she knows is how to steal the bread from a earthquake refugee child in Haiti -- what a cold, heartless b*tch.

The Crooked One is also incapable of giving a speech like Trump gave today.  She can't because the Wizardess of Oz is a complete and utter fraud.  She pushes other people's buttons by intimidation, but she's totally incapable of creating anything of enduring value herself -- the proof is the complete collapse of her campaign.

Plus, through the miracle of WilkLeaks, the secrecy and shady practices she chose to hide by deleting her 30,000 emails are coming back to haunt her in the Podesta messages.

After Donald Trump's great little 10 minute speech, YouTube ran another news video showing the damage done to Mr. Trump's star embedded in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The bronze letters and the star and marble stone around them were obliterated this morning by a man wielding a sledgehammer mouthing anti-Trump sentiments. The perp has not yet been apprehended. He was dressed as a construction worker, fitting into the landscape like he was doing work in the area.

This is the first speech from Trump that I've heard. I despise political speeches, regardless who gives them, so I never listen. This time I did.
Just....wow. That was so very well done, that a bitter cynic like myself wanted to cheer, but the wife is asleep. My view of Trump has been hugely elevated by that speech. It was inspiring and brings shades of the Great Communicator to the present day.
