The press is a willfully ignorant advocacy group
Charlie Rose, Norah ODonnell, and Gayle King are all very wise people who know what theyre talking about. Frankly, its tough to overestimate their brilliance. Theyre smarter than you, smarter than me, and their analysis should always be considered sacrosanct.
For years, they wisely ignored the warnings of conservatives who argued that ObamaCare would destroy the American healthcare system. They scoffed at concerns about rate hikes, evaporating choices in terms of plans and doctors, diminished or rationed care, and stuck to the company line about saving the average family money.
My deductible has gone from $0 to $6,800(family).
Used to pay about $20K in premiums (the best plan they had) between employer and myself.
They told me that I could keep paying that and more but I would have to pay a $1,500 deductible, no such thing as a $0 deductible plan anymore.
So I said, go EFF yourself, and now I pay $150 a month for the high deductible plan and pay my minimal costs out of pocket via an HSA.
They lose about 15K in premiums, I’ll be dammed if I pay these douchebags up front.
Communists OUT!!!!!!!!!!
its tough to overestimate their brilliance.
This is some kind of Joke right? Satire??
They maybe smart people but what is really tough to overestimate is their Arrogance. They ALL KNEW exactly what would happen. THEY ARE JUST EVIL, the only thing they desire is Power and Control over others. Everything that has happened with Obamacare was PLANNED AND EXPECTED.
Whoever wrote this article needs to go look in the mirror for a very very long time and ask himself WHY DID THEY ALL LIE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
WAKE UP!!!
The commenters at my local rag’s website blame it on Republicans of course. If the Republicans didn’t right the bill none of this would happen. And of course the democrats were so stupid they fell for it without a single republican vote.
Where do you get a high deductible plan for $150 people per month?
Even if it is done away with the prices of health care insurance will not come down. The new mark has been set.
Health care in the US is too expensive because we over use it, abuse it, have too much technology that is of questionable effectiveness, hospitals are more like Taj Mahals than working spaces, pharmacetucials make too much and many health care providers do as well.
Health care is out of reach for most and out of touch with almost all the clients.
Its the “bad” plan offered at work because of the high deductible, you have to “qualify” for the other plans.
As long as you don’t get sick its GREAT.
I used to be able to afford to pay for good health insurance.
Now I can afford to pay for bad health insurance.
I won’t do it.
90% of the people I work with are still paying the high premiums and sucking up the $1,500 deductible.
The effect of Obamacare on employer/employee plans is TOXIC.
The insurance scumbags lose 15 grand for every worker that has enough brains to do what I did.

I am hoping that this financial impact pushes many more to vote against Clinton.
They underestimated costs because it was politically expedient, they over-estimated enrollment because it was politically mandated.
My husband dropped off the health insurance paperwork today. “It is only going up 7% this year.”
“Only? That’s much more than inflation.”
“Yes, but it is still less than the 10% it did last year.”
How much does your employer kick in so you only have to pay $150 per month?
Their show should be listed under comedy rather than news ... you know, like SNL and 60 Minutes.
Cite one insurance company that fought it.
After you read the two names following my post what did you think? Satire/sarcasm.Satire/sarcasm.Satire/sarcasm.Satire/sarcasm.Satire/sarcasm.Satire/sarcasm.Satire/sarcasm.
$325.
Realize that the “insurance” company doesn’t pay dick until I am out of pocket $3,400 per person or $6,800 for family.
I pay for health insurance.
I DON’T really HAVE health insurance.
I got the sarcasm about Bush and Trump but the insurance companies were for it.
I threw them in there because they >were< for it.
In 2008 the price of gasoline went over $4/gal where I live. I thought the same thing you do: it won't go down again, the new mark has been set.
Now the price where I live is about $2/gal.
In 2008, the price of a barrel of oil went over $150. Today it is $50. There is no price that goes up that can't go down.
Fundamentally that's because the price of knowledge goes down as it diffuses across a culture.
