VANITY: IT Experts Please Help Sort Out Intel Claims of Russian Hack
https://www.threatconnect.com/blog/does-a-bear-leak-in-the-woods/ ^

It keeps being said that US intel says Wikileaks is from Russian hackers. The article at https://www.threatconnect.com/blog/does-a-bear-leak-in-the-woods/ gives some of the "evidence". I know nothing about this, but if some Freepers with knowledge could weigh in on the validity of this assessment I would appreciate it.

Please use language appropriate for a computer idiot. =)

What is “IC”?

I was wondering about the integrity of the group. From what people here are saying it sounds like anybody credible would not even claim to be able to track a hack done by those who can frame somebody else. Makes me wonder if IT people all over the country are rolling their eyes at these claims.

They have no idea who it is. It could be a taxi driver in a eastern European country for all they now. *cough*

My 16-year-old daughter was on the fence but after the debate we discussed Hillary’s lies and what it all means and she is now strongly in favor of Trump.

The Amtrak wifi suggests it was an inside job? Did you see the email where Chelsea said the guy who did the server put spyware on? But that would be Hillary’s emails, not Podesta’s, right? The hack associated with Amtrak wifi is the Wikileaks hack, right?

Has anything come of anonymous, who claimed they had Hillary’s deleted emails?

Woo! Hoo!
I am praying that more people recognize the word salad and smooth talk as just that - empty lies.

Personally, I perceive the accusation against Russia simply manifests a very real perception by the Democrats/NWO club that Russia might be the only real intelligence community which might pose a threat to the Clinton/NWO cabal’s conspiracies.

Even though I don’t give much credence to conspiracy theories regarding the NWO, there are world leaders who praise it, hence verify it as a goal of their agendas.

Bush, Clinton, Obama, all chime in to it.

When William Colby and Adm Boorda turned up on the Friends of Bill list, then followed by an attack on the WTC, it became obvious this was a successful attack on all US intel operations.

Later Hillary rides in as US Senator to NY, as if NY lacks local politicians to represent their state in the higherst office of their State in a Federal venue.

8 years later, Obama rides in and we see over the past 8 years a campaign to change every head of state throughout the Mediterranean, by a supposed small religious terrorists grouping.

We witness in the last few years, Muslim extremists in the US who are arrested or killed in their aggression, to have their fathers meet with Obama and are candidates to rule as third world puppet governments in those same countries.

IMHO, Hillary and the cabal have conquered the CIA and US Intel community, Obama has been replacing and staging higher level government employees/officers with their cabal, and the past intel checks and balances on enemies of the US foreign and domestic, have now been overwhelmed by these new internal enemies of the Constitution.

There stands a decent chance that Russia might be the ONLY nation able to maintain an intel force independent of US influence, which might have the goods on Hillary.

If she was complicit in aiding and abetting the 9-11 strikes from prior associations, Russia might have the goods on her and that is why she is campaigning to demonize Putin and Russia in the US public eye.

She attacks them because they can hurt her politically.

What I fear is an American public that either doesn’t care or has no way to enforce its will in the face of fraud. Even the Russians could not damage Hillary if Americans are too stupid to open their eyes.

I’m praying a lot. I think we’re in a terrible mess and the Lord is really the only intervention that can save us from ourselves.

We know an open WiFi connection on Amtrak helped someone get the Podesta emails, though.

Now that's funny!

Goes to show, always assume your email will be broadcast on the evening news.

What can I say?

"There's something about a train, that's magic."

"All aboard, America!"

Sorry. Intelligence Community.

Their “analysis” (which they self describe as “circumstantial”) and follow on Star Wars prequel “Conclusion,” rates them a zero from me.

-- Yes, every SMTP relay in the chain has record of where it's inbound mail comes from. --

With properly configured SMTP services, the header preserves all of the "Received" lines, so the chain is know to the ultimate recipient.

But the originator can spoof his sending IP address in the header, and some SMTP handlers don't check the header (in the email) against the network packet (which should have the same IP address), and forward the email anyway. There are other ways to "forge" or insert header lines.

There is tons of spoofed e-mail in the wild. Analysis based only on e-mail headers makes some huge assumptions, and the report I read (linked at the top of this thread) does not discuss those assumptions.

Just wanting to know the truth is dangerous to a person’s health/freedom these days.

The NSA Hacks everybody every day. Everything is their business and they alone are to be trusted with the truth. Scary.

I got an answer for you, if it is true who the hell cares who hacked it?

Wrong question.

The correct question:
“You do not deny the veracity of the content in the revealed documents”????

Nothing of this email “hack”, that you are being told, is true.

The messages are real. The hack may be real. But the details are completely off the wall. Phrased for the 99.999999% of the population who don’t know anything about “hacking”.

Like the Apple iCloud celebrity “hack”. It happened but it didn’t go down like anything you were told. Come to think of it, the iPhone FBI crack wasn’t either.

All kabuchi theater.

I agree.

But they’re sure trying hard to start a war with Russia...

Trump did a good job of pointing out that if they really wanted to defeat ISIS in Mosul they would not have announced all they were doing 3 weeks ahead of time. It was obviously theatrics. And the same thing is true with their saying they were going to do a “covert” cyber-attack to embarrass Putin. These people are poking Putin’s eyes, just asking for a fight.

I hope Americans are able to see how easily this regime makes us little people the sacrificial lambs, for the sake of their political power.
