RCP Video ^ | 10-9-2016 | Tim Hains

JOY REID, MSNBC: I don't want to be dramatic with it, but my father came to this country from the Democratic Republic of the Congo... We need to not speed past the point that an American candidate for president threatened to jail his political opponent. .....

(snip)

.... as of this summer, a political opponent of the current leader was put in jail on charges. This happens in Malaysia, this happens in Uganda, this does not happen in the United States of America.

I have to ask, Why? I mean I know but in this situation the Rosenbergs, husband and wife, traitors, were as Ceausescu was already ruling. Believe me I like either ending for them.

Technically, Trump threatened her with a special prosecutor, not jail. It was his opinion that she should be in jail, but that was not the threat. Folks need to calm the heck down. We all believe that she should be in jail, even Martha Stewart probably believes it. They just like her getting away with it, bc she is on their side.

What is it about people who only pick and choose thoughts. Trump stated if elected he would ask the ‘new’ attorney general to appoint a special prosecutor to look in to Hillry’s acts... We pretty much have the ‘Congo’ running things right now.

It's a fairly crude form of persuasion. It's really only aimed at the Hilldemons anyway.

Ok Joy I’ll side with you. He should have instead said that beginning January 2017 traitors to this country will once again be executed.

Guess what, Joy? Criminals go to prison. Even IF their name is Clinton. Even IF they’re part of the Establishment.

Apparently, she’s never heard of John Chisholm’s witch hunt on conservatives in Wisconsin.

Joy Reid has it backwards as usual.

Refusing to prosecute criminals because of who they are or who they are connected to happens in the Congo, and it’s not supposed to happen in the United States. The only reason Hillary isn’t in the cell Jonathan Pollard occupied for 20 years, over a less severe offense, is that Hillary is above the law.

This woman is not an idiot - because she knows exactly what she’s doing, which is trying to manipulate the public.

Listen, if Trump wanted to jail her FOR BEING HIS OPPONENT, that would be very Turd World. However, there are legit questions about a multitude of law-breaking allegations...and both the FBI and the Dept of (some) Justice have punted on Clinton, because of politics. This is EXACTLY why you appoint a Special Prosecutor - someone empowered by Congress to wade through the politics and ignore them, and to find out the TRUTH, and to charge people with crimes if there’s sufficient evidence to do so.

This is about nothing more or less than the principle of Equal Justice Under Law. Either we have it, or we don’t. So far it appears that this principle died some time ago...but a Special Prosecutor could revive it.

Oh, and if she didn’t do anything, she’d be able to crow about that to the world, free as a bird.

We want TRUMP to hound Hillary & Bill’s tails until the
cows come home; and if he can jail her - we want him to do
so. JUSTICE. RETIRE THE CLINTONS!

Welcome to the Banana Republic
With apologies to Jeff Foxworthy
If your government has an avowed policy of not making payments to terrorists but pays $100 million per hostage to the largest terrorist organization in the world
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If your Treasury Department and Central Bank are simply printing money in order to prop up the regime
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If your balance sheet has more debt than all of the rest of the world combined
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If your courts are telling you that the plain wording of your own Constitution means exactly the opposite of its English and historical meaning
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If your law enforcement officers and election officials permit widespread vote fraud, voting by non-citizens and dead people, and oppose every means of enforcing fair elections
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If your military’s flag officers are more interested in putting fancy ribbons on their chests than they are about its capacity to fight being destroyed
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If your country’s space agency is more concerned with “Muslim Outreach” and climatic interpretation than they are with actually exploring space
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If your major media ignore all the scandals and illegal activities of the ruling party
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If your president is more interested in inciting racial violence than he is in enforcing the law
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If half of your citizens believe that a lifetime history of sexual assault is less serious than vulgar talk
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If one of your major political parties can’t bring itself to remove a leader who has suborned perjury, lied under oath, and tried to fix a federal judge
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If all of the major political parties are more interested in satisfying the demands of their wealthy contributors than they are in the people who actually vote
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If your Secretary of State can plunder her office to the tune of nearly a quarter of a billion dollars (!) to advance her personal fortune while standing in front of the entire nation, bragging straight-faced about her “life of service”
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If the head of your Department of Justice secretly meets with the man who started her career while her employees are supposedly investigating his wife, and she is not — at the very least — disbarred for this outrageous ethical violation
... you may be living in a banana republic.
• If the head of your Secret Police and his family have past and present financial connections with the subject of his investigation, and grants immunity to all of her co-conspirators without any evidentiary result, and then whines about being called the dirty cop that he is
... you may be living in a banana republic.

Joy you ignorant slut. There is a big difference between jailing your opposition just because they are the opposition and following the rule of law. Hillary skated on being indicted on serious criminal charges solely because of political connections and an utterly corrupt DOJ. Trump wants a special prosecutor to look into this and if crimes are found hand out indictments. Hillary would still get her day in court.

Compare this to the poor schmuck would supposedly made the unseen inflammatory video that was used as the excuse for Hillary's incompetent handling of the Benghazi massacre. This guy was arrested on trumped up charges even though under the First Amendment he had every right to make this video. He was held for months without trial only to be released.

Actually what happens in the Congo is that the leaders are above the law, like here, and Trump (and I) would like to see this change.
