I've actually been using Claritin for nearly a year because of my allergies and haven't had many problems, re: drowsiness/clarity.

It's leagues ahead of Benadryl, IMO, simply because I only need to take one and don't feel the need to pass out after an hour.

I take one Claritin in the morning. Great all day.
