Round 2: Thoughts On Last Night’s Debate
American Rattlesnake ^ | October 10, 2016 | Gerard Perry

As I pointed out in an essay published earlier this year-before we knew who the parties would nominate-the defining characteristic of Hillary Clinton is her tenacity. Leaving aside her arguably criminal behavior in office, she has virtually nothing to recommend her as a politician, despite the fact that her lifelong goal-at least since reaching adulthood-has been the acquisition, retention, and exercise of political power.

She is the modern-day incarnation of Richard Nixon, stripped of any charisma or popular appeal. However, she has managed to surmount these inherent limitations to the point where she is on the threshold of accomplishing her sole mission in life. Namely, becoming the next President of the United States.

Donald Trump’s closing remarks were effective because they were grounded in an ineluctable truth, i.e. Hillary Clinton does not quit. Regardless of how unfavorably the public might perceive her, or what humiliation she has to endure in order to achieve her goal, she refuses to abandon her quest. While some, including those who view power-seeking and the arbitrary exercise of authority over other individuals, might consider this a repellent quality in a human being, it’s her quintessential feature as a public figure...

False comparison comparing Heillary and Nixon, Nixon for all his flaws put America first! He did in 1960 when the Kennedy-Dailey-Johnson cabal stole the election. He could have fought it but felt it would be bad for the country. He then took the blame for Watergate & resigned in 1972.
A deeply flawed man but his country came first.

"Great point - get this message to Trump & his team if you can."

On that topic, there is an infamous NYT article that is often referenced but most images have been scrubbed, although there are comments on it and references to it in many places as the "one free grope rule". Does anyone have a better link?

I don't think this is directly helpful for Trump himself to use, but it's good evidence for his surrogates to use in demonstrating that the liberals with their panties in a wad are hypocrites.

The sniffling is post nasal drip. I have the exact same problem. Like me he probably does not want to take antihistamine because it will make him drowsy.

Same with me. I take Claritin and Sudafed when I get the sniffles and PND. If Trump would have taken something it would have affected his speech and clarity.

I've actually been using Claritin for nearly a year because of my allergies and haven't had many problems, re: drowsiness/clarity.

It's leagues ahead of Benadryl, IMO, simply because I only need to take one and don't feel the need to pass out after an hour.
