I have heard stories that a handful of Jews escaped the camps and went back to warn others and they were not believed.
I shake my head at the naivete and stupidity and I’m ashamed for them! In my opinion, any Jew who votes for Hillary knowing she’s antisemitic and supported Arafat and loathes Israel is “not” a Jew and will one day face God with their treason against their own kind and Israel!!
How many Catholics voted for Zero knowing his support of late-term abortions and infanticide and then invited him to speak at Notre Dame? I haven’t read threads or seen comments about how many Catholics forsake their faith or beliefs when they voted for Zero!!
That’s like saying why dont the real whites shut the KKK and Aryan Nation up? Or why dont the real blacks shut up Farrakhan!
There are three main reasons:
1) So many Jews vote Democrat because so many are ....liberal. Yeah, it’s shockingly that simple. If one supports abortion, the LGBTQXYZ agenda, open borders, multiculturalism, income redistribution in the form of a massive welfare state, strict gun control (and in many cases gun confiscation), etc....then to which party is one going to align oneself?
2) Lib Jews falsely equate nationalism to Nazism, and therefore are reflexively repelled by it. And since Republicans are perceived as having far more nationalistic sentiments than Dems, the resulting equation for them becomes .....the GOP = The Third Reich. That’s a very tough emotional hurdle for them to overcome.
3) Most lib Jews don’t give a rat’s patootie about Israel, although they’ll often (out of guilt) give lip service supporting Her. And these days (after years of conservative Bibi being the PM) a disconcerting number of lib Jews have grown to DESPISE Israel. My dumbazz aunt is one of them.
I’d love to see Trump get 40% of the Jewish vote (like Reagan did in 1980), but I’m afraid it’ll be closer to 20%.

The Protestant Reformation began in Germany and was victorious in northern Europe. It subsequently spread via the British Empire and German/Scandinavian emigration to the U.S. No Protestant country has gone communist mainly because the Red Army never reached far enough west.
There’s quite a divide between Israeli Jews and American Jews.
In America, “you can be liberal without being Jewish, but you can’t be Jewish without being liberal”. Most American Jews regard the Palis as innocent victims of the IDF & the hated Netanyahu.
Unlike in America, Jews in Israel see the murderous enemy up close & personal, making for a more realistic outlook on the true nature of the Muslim-dominated Middle East.
1) Ignorance.
2) Stupidity.
3) Evil intent.
4) Some combination of these.

The Jacoby quote at the end gets the closest to nailing it. The comfort of secular life, moral equality, evil is guns and global warming.
But as I always do, on the micro, I answer this question like this: each liberal Jew (Jew Lite - they eat bacon and shrimp, they don’t go to synagogue, they love bagels and kugel and a few Yiddish words and call it a day) is kept on the reservation by their friends and relatives. They are brutal if you stray. There is biting sarcasm and ostracism. Pointed, horrible questions like “Are you a racist?” Etc at family gatherings. The pressure to conform to the group is INSANE. And that’s is the real reason.
Liberal Jews look down on the Orthodox. If one of their own lackadaisical Jewish relatives starts to become more shomer Shabbat, more religious, they start to belittle and shun. They want people like them around. It’s like beer drinkers when one of them starts to avoid alcohol. The Jew trying to be Jewish makes them feel bad about their bacon cheeseburgers!
Trust me, I know. I’ve been “that Jew.” It is so difficult to come out of the closet in that community. I’m about to go to services at a new liberal synagogue here where we have moved. And only because my child goes to their preschool am I a member. The preschool is awesome. But no one there knows I am a - gasp - Trump supporter. And they would all change their feeling aBout me should it be known. And even I, who am bold on many occasions, am feeling like maybe I just don’t want to get into any discussions on politics and be put in the category of evil racist. Maybe I just don’t need those looks, that ostracism right now. It’s hard.
I know black and Latino conservatives go through the same damn thing.
Hoping today the rabbi won’t say anything cringeworthy re politics. I sure miss Dennis’s Prager’s High Holiday services (though he is 100% apolitical at them, you know at least he is a conservative) but being a member here, we have to $ave. High Holiday tickets are expensive.
That's true of all city dwellers, not just Jews. The Democrat party represents the interests of city slickers. All over the world the higher the population density, the higher the percentage of leftists. High population density isn't just correlated with leftism, it actually causes it.

You are overestimating the percentage of American Jews who think that way by using the word MOST. Some left radicals think that way, but only a minority of the whole American Jewish population.
In general, American Jews' opinions on Israel and the Middle East are influenced most strongly by one most important factor: Those who have visited Israel are much more likely to support her than those who haven't.
Unfortunately, many American Jews still believe in their hearts those things (accurately) told them by their grandparents from before immigrating from Europe. Back then, Christians were not as kind as they are now, in the USA. And it's only been 2 or 3 generations since Jews found themselves unwelcome by society in general here in the USA.
But for some reason, it seems that Jews in general seem to have an irrational belief that "the government" will keep them safe. When in so many cases, it's the government that is organized against the Jews.
This isn't an excuse, but it is something of an explanation: Jews tend to have a historically rational fear of other religions, as well as a historically irrational belief that the government will protect them. Plus, an almost genetic "rooting for the underdog," which explains the recent abandonment of Israel, in favor of the palis.

Because most that call themselves “Jewish” are about as Jewish as JFK was catholic. If religion has any meaning to them it has morphed into the Jewish version of social justice.

Call us the “Survivors” which are made up of the smart ones who got out of Germany early; the afraid to rock the boat ones, who too often died in the Holocaust like my relatives (or who couldn’t get out); the Fighters - the partisans of the Eastern European woods, Sobibor, and the Warsaw Ghetto; and the American Jewish soldiers who saw what the Nazis did in Europe and continued to stand watch for our country, the so-called “canary in the mine” people.
Unfortunately, people like my mother were scarred by the Depression and thought that FDR was God despite the turning back of the SS St. Louis and the massive anti-Semitism of the State Department in denying allowable immigration quotas to European Jews among others.
That is the HOLD that the Democrats still have after all these years. Only when the Depression/WW2 generation is gone, will many Jews be free of those psychological bonds.
I broke out of them in the 50’s when the Hungarians revolted against the Soviets and saw what a totalitarian system looked like in action - no different than the Nazis.
In the 60’s I met those freedom fighters, Vietnam veterans, and some WW2 leaders. They all recognized what evil looked like and knew that it had to be opposed.
In the late 60’s thru today, the rise of an emotional liberalism among many Jews has been the yoke that prevents them from breaking away from the Marxist shroud around the Democrat Party. They fall for this crap thinking that it is genuine liberalism. It is an indication of how deeply the Marxist/leftist philosophy/propaganda has penetrated our educational system, and you can’t erase generations of “stealth ideological indoctrination” over night.
I’ve been fighting this indoctrination since the md-60’s, as a writer, VN journalist, internal security specialist, and just being a plain sense “Jewish Joe” kind of guy.
I know bullshit and Marxist crap when I see it. I learned from former KGB and CPUSA members and operatives. My scientific education helped me to see patterns of subversion and disinformation, as well as media bias and sheer blind stupidity among academics, writers, and even religious leaders.
Obama played a leftist rabbi in Chicago like a violin and the schmuck never gave a damn. In fact, Obama used several well known rabbis to run interference with American Jews, and very successfully.
The fight within our own communities have been fierce but most Jewish newspapers were either run by old-time, sensible editors (I wrote for some great ones), or were run by liberals (they outnumbered the older generation of editors and took over when they died out).
They still continue to publish leftist crap but I’m seeing a change in even some of the most liberal papers, for the good. It is called “balance” which many never had before.
Jewish radio talk show hosts have also contributed to the awakening of the Jewish liberals to reality, esp. since the Obama Iran deals began. IRAN IS THE 800 TON GUERRILLA IN THE JEWISH LIBERALS’ LIVING ROOM AND THEY KNOW HE IS HUNGRY. WHAT THEY DON’T KNOW IS WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT.
It is our job to politely inform them with facts and geostrategic thinking.
If Trump gets 40% of the Jewish vote, it will be as close as we can come to a messiah coming in our life time because that will mean that a significant number of American Jews will have awoken up to reality, not the pipedreams of the leftist losers of Obama, Hillary and Kerry.
In my shual we would call that a “miracle” and right now we are very short of miracles and sane people. It could all change next month, or a new darkness could set in that will lead to the destruction of Israel and the emasculation of America as the leader of the Free World.
If that happens, Obama can truly say “YES I DID”, with Kerry’s help, Hillary’s help, Jarrett’s help, Axelrod’s help, Alinsky’s help, and a whole cast of reds and incompetent lackies you know nothing about.
