The US military created the internet. It is ours, and we made it happen. It is not Obama’s to give away. I heard the talking heads in support of this fiasco yesterday saying that it would be best for commercial enterprise to run it. This is the same argument, if I recall, for letting the Panama Canal be open to commercial interests, which turned out to be the Chinese, who now operate the canal. The real reason is to eliminate criticism and free speech.

Obama’s agenda before giving away control of the internet .....

“The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.”

I am going to have to think of another word for muzzies. The internet will be policed in the future. Only Christians and Jews will be allowed to be insulted.

I talked to my Son in Law about this. He said it is a big fuss about nothing. He is an expert on networking on the Internet. It is his full time job. His points:

1. The ICANN stays in the U.S. with its infrastructure and expertise.

2. The ICANN remains an American corporation, subject to American laws.

3. The ICANN has very little real power. Abuses would be near instantly detected by network managers, and workarounds implemented.

4. Foreign governments like China who want to censor the Internet in areas under their control already do about as much as they can. The ICANN has no effect on that.

That is what the subject matter expert told me.
