90 Minutes at Hofstra
US Defense Watch ^ | September 26, 2016 | Ray Starmann

Hillary Clinton came on stage, dressed like Chairwoman Mao and leering at Trump like a possessed clown. Trump went long and deep on first down, but soon found himself in a running game slug fest against Madame Secretary in a debate version of the Ice Bowl.

The debate was divided into various sections that lasted roughly 15 minutes each:

The Economy:

Clinton – She burst out of the blocks, sounding like she had memorized her first opening statement, and by reciting typical Democratic tenets: raise the minimum wage, raise taxes, more family leave and company profit sharing. Batting her eyes slowly, she rattled on endlessly about her middle class upbringing as if she is some RFK tribune for the poor. She also stated that Obama has made progress with the economy for eight years.

Trump – He was at his best talking about the economy. He came across as a knowledgeable businessman who wants to bring back jobs and rejuvenate the Rust Belt. As President, he would renegotiate trade deals such as NAFTA. Trump hammered Hillary Clinton on NAFTA and TPP. He railed on that Hillary has no economic plan except to raise taxes and weigh the average American down with over-regulation.

Taxes:

Clinton – She mentioned over and over again that Trickle Down economics don’t work. She kept talking about her middle class background, when she is the second coming of Marie Antoinette. She scored the biggest points when mentioning Trump’s failure to produce his tax returns.

Trump – He channeled Reagan by reiterating his plan to lower taxes and create jobs, and mentioning that Hillary is all talk and no action and merely sound bites.

Race:

Clinton – She sound like bland malted milk about race relations. She quickly digressed into the subject of guns. There is no doubt Hillary Clinton is an enemy of the Second Amendment. Trump missed his change to go after her on the subject. She sounds weak on crime and law and order. She wants to ban military style weapons. She moved away from the subject by bringing up the Birther Issue, which she scored some points on, but was stopped by Trump who brought up the fact that she and Sidney Blumenthal, her all around muse, were the ones who first raised the issue in 2008.

Trump – He made some strong points by painting himself as the LAW and ORDER candidate. He specifically mentioned bringing back Stop and Frisk, which seriously diminished the number of violent crimes in Manhattan. Hillary came back by being against Stop and Frisk on the grounds that it is unconstitutional. Trump’s best comment on the subject came when he stated that he had travelled to many minority communities beset by high crime and she decided to stay home and that’s okay.

Securing America:

Clinton – Hillary discussed cyber security and brought up the age old DNC talking point that Putin hacked their emails. She went on to mention and with a frightening look in her eyes that we need to be hard on the Russians, which is basically parroting the globalists’ wishes to start a new Cold War. She said she had a plan to defeat ISIS, which Trump interjected is apparently on her website. She tried to hit Trump on the fact that he wants to break up NATO and that he would start a war with Iran.

Trump – Trump responded by stating that he was endorsed by 200 admirals and generals, by ICE and the Border Patrol. He blamed much of the Middle East’s problems and rightfully on Hillary and Obama and stated that the US pays for 73% of NATO and other nations need to cough up their fair share. On the subject of nuclear weapons, Trump stated that he would not authorize a first strike, breaking 60 years of US national security policy, either deliberately or inadvertently.

Conclusions:

Trump said that Hillary simply doesn’t have the stamina for the job. While she has experience, she has bad experience.

Hillary told us all again that she has a plethora of experience, she’s travelled to 120 countries as Secretary of State and she’s a virtual Walking Wikipedia on the subject of foreign policy. Finally, she pulled out the age old feminazi card and called Trump a sexist. What a shocker.

Hillary was on the offensive for 75% of the time, appearing marginally human and with shades of a heartbeat. Trump was on the defensive and failed to mention her email scandal or the Clinton Foundation. At times he seemed unprepared, as if he could walk in and wing it like he did in the primaries. But, during the primaries he was always on the offensive.

Trump was largely a gentleman tonight, restraining himself from perhaps looking like a bully beating up on a woman. In Round Two, he needs to go on the offensive and finish her off, once and for all.

90 Minutes at Hofstra was probably a draw.

“Because he doesn’t have to release his f*cking taxes. That’s why.”

EXACTLY!!! There is NO legal requirement for a Presidential or Vice-Presidential candidate to release tax records!!!!! Several of the items you mentioned should, in a sane world, have been enough to put Hillary in PRISON!!!!

Why won’t he release his taxes already so we can move on,

If he did the Media and Demonrat operatives would pore over them endlessly for "issues." Nobody would "move on." His calculation probably is that it's a net gain for him to delay releasing them. I personally don't care wherher he releases them.

I'm thinking Trump pulled a "rope-a-dope" the first debate.

Stay even and let Hillary fire all the limited arrows she has.

Hillary will be totally confident she can handle Trump the next debate, Trump then cleans her clock.

Never forget, Trump is extremely good at strategy.

Why does Lester Holt get to decide what the candidates will be permitted to talk about?

It’s ridiculous. Holt is not running for office.

Each candidate should submit a list of questions to be asked the other.

Holt’s job should be limited to reading those questions. Or let the candidates ask each other the questions directly.

I hope you’re right. Maybe he’s playing chess, sacrificing pawns now for the long game. But I thought she won a close decision tonight. Those who thought she was gonna collapse or go wall-eyed were wrong - just as those who thought Trump was going to blow his stack were wrong.

Trump passed up opportunities on the private email server (during the “cyber security” portion), the Clinton Foundation (when she accused him of maybe not being so “charitable”), and of course the war-on-women issue, when he talked around the obvious instead of fighting fire with fire.

Trump did OK. But he will never win a close decision against her. He must knock her out.

He has two more rounds.

Maybe.

I saw a lot of missed opportunities.

They may not come around again.

In regards to his tax records, I’m willing to bet it’s because of the reception it will receive.

99% of Americans don’t have the slightest clue of how wealth works. They don’t understand income versus worth, they don’t understand high finance at all.

People think he walks around with a 10 billion dollar ATM card.

The truth is that Ivana fleeced him at the divorce. He pays her a dollar per year, but Ivana owns MUCH of the Trump enterprise.

If people saw how his tax records looked, they wouldn’t know what to think. The truth is that he may claim $10 per year income. Or he may put much of his company losses into his own books. Or he may have listed a dog as head of security. Or he may have companies moved into his family’s name to avoid scrutiny.

All of these things are commonplace with wealth. Trump doesn’t have 10 billion sitting in a room like Scrooge McDuck and that will confuse and shock most Americans. Americans who already have Jon Stewart telling them he’s scamming the system by being bankrupt 6 times when in fact that is how you’re SUPPOSED to operate when you or your business loses.

That’s why Bankrupcy exists !

I wouldn’t release my taxes either. But he did do brilliance by offering to release them when she (found) her 33,000 missing emails. That was great.

Military. Grade. Uppers.

She could have been awake for the past 96 hours and those pills will get your ass ready for launch codes.

“hillary goes back to several dozen photoshoped lackeys”

Problem is that any falter by Trump leads to credibility when Hillary cheats at the polls. And she WILL cheat at the polls.

Without cheating there should be a 20% Clinton turn-out. No more.

What she has to do is make it look good. Not like Saddam’s 99% wins and Kim Jong’s 100% wins. It’s too obvious.

So she’ll make it a 51/49 win to make everyone feel that their vote counted when she, Soros and Soetoro rig the ever living hell out of the election. They have to - because again the math doesn’t support a single vote more than 20%.

When Trump mentioned the emails, Holt cut him off and said they would get to the emails later, which never happened.

The judge in the case against Trump University unsealed the tax returns for the Washington Post. They have his tax returns.

I saw analysis of the shoulder shimmy this afternoon on Fox or Fox Business. Somehow, I was not watching the debate in the seconds that The Beast did that. Upon seeing the video today, I think it was seizure related. It did not look like a normal body movement. It was weird. They played the tape several times and it was not something I’ve seen other people do. She looked crazed at the same time. Too bad I missed it last night, it would have elevated my mood!

Glad you brought that up.

Holt raised this birther thing under the heading of race.
Clinton takes his cue by calling it “the disgusting racist birther charges against our first African American President”
Trump said it was Hillary that started the birther thing...

Can someone explain how questioning Obama’s place of birth has anything to do with his race? Was it racist when people were pointing out Cruz wasn’t born in the US? Or McCain?

I was hoping Trump would point out it had nothing to do with race.
