NEVER DIVIDE WHEN FACING AN ENEMY
CFP ^ | August 26, 2016 | Dr. Brad Lyles

“Never divide your forces in the face of a superior enemy.” This famous dictum has been a truism of war for 5,000 years. Heedless, our brothers and sisters in the Establishment, and in #NeverTrump, believe they can summon victory from the ashes of a conflagration of their own making. Worse, they continue to pursue their divisive actions despite their inability to define the victory they are pursuing.

Mark Levin, Thomas Sowell, and Glenn Beck — the three of them trouble me profoundly.

I refuse to think the absolute worst of them, but what can I say to defend them?

NeverTrump is in reality the rump of the GOP owned by the Cheap Labor Express.

They do not intend to allow the citizens to reverse 30 years of bipartisan policy of non-enforcement of immigration laws.

We have 30 million illegal aliens because our government, BOTH PARTIES, wanted them here.

It’s a horrible analogy.

And you do divide your forces against a superior enemy, ask Sun Tsu.

[unquote]

No, Sun Tsu said to divide your forces if you are OUTNUMBERED TEN-TO-ONE. Guerrilla warfare essentially.

That would be some political equivalent — a one party system without someone as strong as Trump on your side.

Secondly, Sun Tsu never said that you could win if your own army fights itself. According to Sun Tsu, you want your enemies to do that, not your own side.

‘I realized at that moment that we had lost. They are truly one, all united at defeating everyone else.’

Not to fear. Muslims are often more divided than we are. They may pray the same way, but they kill each other more than anyone else.

Japan was far more united than the Muslims back in WWII. Their kamakazis were far more impressive than today’s suicide bombers.

You should have heard Rush’s first hour yesterday. He was ON FIRE bashing Hillary. Sounded like a well informed FReeper. And of course we know he is. He reads our posts, but to admit it would mean that he’d spend half his time giving credit to ‘whoever’ and ‘nobody’ and ‘wackoaddict’ etc.

We have a seat at Rush’s table. But that could change if people keep bashing him.

But the point is uniting against a single enemy, even if your forces are in different locations.

An army that fights against itself is in big trouble.

We want democrats to do that — like the Green Party.

Run Jill run! Watch Jill run!

Jack and Jill ran up the hill to fight over a bucket of water.

#NeverTrump is a suicide mission of moral degenerates who lost their way with Progressives. They are not interested in making America great again. They are grieving over their own personal lost greatness.

Greene split his forces when being followed by Cornwallis through the Carolinas. Pretty interesting documentary on AHC network, formerly the Military Channel a few weeks back.

It actually shamed me about my ignorance about the Revolution.

I read a book about Greene.

We have a small monument in his honor near the library where I checked out the book. South Boston [not sure it was a town then] is in Halifax County, and we have a bridge near the monument where he retreated across the Dan River.

Greene was the master of retreat. He had trouble winning battles, but he was the reason why we were never defeated outright. He always kept retreat in mind, always kept men out to see if the routes were clear, and the British sometimes suffered horrible losses chasing him.

After we crossed the Dan River, the British had no way to pursue. Greene made sure of that. Cornwallis had to tuck tail, run his starve soldiers into a humiliating retreat, suffer desertion, and lose every inch of ground he had won. It also built up moral for our patriots.

The big problem we had was poor generalship in the Revolution. We never learned from our victories and instead kept adopting British tactics. The worst thing we could do was to try and beat them at their own game.

Napoleon learned more from our victories than we did. Even during the Civil War, too many American generals continued to think like British redcoats.

‘NeverTrump is a suicide mission of moral degenerates who lost their way with Progressives.’

Funny you should say that.

Many NeverTrumps are moral PURISTS who find themselves egged on by the degenerate RINOs.

Primadonna ‘white-as-snow’ standards. Kind of like: ‘Reagan is a divorcee. How can I vote for a guy like that?’

This is a political war. Unborn children are at stake for one thing. And I don’t care if Hillary’s running against a pagan cannibal. If he’s her top opponent, I’m voting for the cannibal. He only kills one at a time.

I remember voting against Oliver North when he ran for senate in Virginia.

Only reason? He had a criminal record.

How I regret being a purist back then!

BTW — no need to feel ashamed. Not even history professors understand history well enough. Having read a number of their books, I should know.

My shame, perhaps regret is a better word, is I was a history major in college. World History, History of World Religions, American Civil War, Ancient History. Not a care about American Revolutionary History.

I reap the rewards of men who gave much and personally got little in return. I read about Jefferson, Washington, Adams (all), Henry and the others but not cohesively, if you know what I mean.

We are truly a blessed people but dumb as rocks.

>>...lose by Trump, this election may be the twilight of the conservative establishment.<<

A lose for Trump could very well mean the twilight of America. A liberal leaning SCOTUS, a whole host of lower court federal judges across the land, continuation of a politicized IRS, FBI, DOJ, federalized law enforcement across the U.S., not to mention a continuation of progressive/socialist economic, foreign, domestic policy for another 4/8 years.

Yep...this is prolly the most important election of certainly my lifetime.

NeverTrumpers...hop on board for the big win and pressure Trump to the conservative platform from within the win. We need your vote.

If not, another conservative win will likely never happen again in this country. Wanna live with that on your shoulders?

NEVER DIVIDE WHEN FACING AN ENEMY

Ha....he got it backwards....

The trick is to DIVIDE THE BATTLE...

As Admiral Lord Nelson did at the battle of Trafalgar in 1805

Some #NeverTrumpers claim to hold the moral high ground. In fact they are trying to hold onto their own terminally damaged credibility. Moral preening instantly disqualifies Levin/Sowell/Beck/et al from serious consideration of their views.

80 years apart. Lee split his force and destroyed Hookers army at Chancellorsville. Greene split his army repeatedly and won victories in South Carolina during the revolution.
