Bad men, bad women, nothing new but the courts are ABSOLUTELY biased against men.

I can’t imagine having to pay thru the nose for alimony/child support when the Mom has a new “boy-toy” living in the house, either but it happens.

I will never forget hearing a caller on the Dr. Laura show who called to ask about advice for a looming divorce: Dr. Laura (channeling Solomon) told the caller that she and her husband should give the house to the children and take turns visiting THEM. It would provide absolute stability for the still school-aged children with as little stress as possible.

Needless to say Mom was absolutely FLOORED at even suggesting she and the Dad should have their lives so disrupted.....

And she still offers booty calls......unanswered I might add

So she left you, but is offering to cheat on her big-shot husband with you? Am I getting that right?

That’s pretty much all I was for the last few years of our marriage and all I am now...

Now I am even getting debt collectors trying to find her lazy husband calling my house.

Then sue for primary custody, and have the ex visit and pay support. When you say ungodly, can you not afford this amount? you can go to court and have that adjusted.
Though as whiny as you sound not wonder you got divorced.

I just made a pilgrimage clear up to WA state to drive our beautiful old maple dining room furniture back down here in a rented moving van. What a flood of memories everyday now that my step-mom is in a memory care home and doesn’t remember anything anymore. Oct. 1 is my 75th and I wonder how much longer my memory machine will function properly before all the lights go out...

I used to listen to the breakfast club and Minnie Perl on the WLS Barn Dance show on my crystal set radio hooked to about 300 feet of electric fence wire running from the peak of the barn to my bedroom window! Those were the days, my FRiend, we thought they’d never end!!!

In Alabama you send your money to the state. They send the money to ex-spouse. If you don’t send the money the state immediately does....nothing. If the custodial parent calls them they will tell them to get a lawyer. I cannot figure out their purpose except a make work program of state workers.

Same in wi. Only there is a delay of bureaucratic processing time before the ex spouse receives the payment. Totally because of the state bureaucrats.

The state hopes by doing so to increase whatever animosity exists between the two ex spouses. Furthering family court time and thereby enriching the family court system.

There used to be a female judge in NYC who kept toothbrushes on her bench in a mug—for the guys who lost the case and had to go to Rikers Island. I think they do that only if the woman agrees to it, and I think she is gone now. Sued for assault maybe.

I would advocate a simple system. The wife specifies an amount for child support. The husband then decides whether to pay it, or take full custody.

Brilliant. That kind of thing tends to shut people up.
