The XM556 Microgun is the smallest 5.56 Gatling, and the first designed to be handheld. Empty Shell, LLC designed and engineered this gatlin gun around the 5.56mm NATO cartridge. This motorized handheld microgun is smaller and lighter than the current 5.56 beltfed Squad Automatic Weapons with 4x the firepower.
Here's some insights into the making of the XM556 from Empty Shell LLC:
"The XM556 is a new platform system
designed from scratch. The parts are not just a smaller imitation of the larger M134. An absolutely all new style of bolt was conceived and designed to eliminate current known issues with the M134. The bolts combined with many other improvements have been made to not only extend the life of the gun but reduce wear and reduce or eliminate stoppages." See it in action here. Specs:

The gun may be light but the ammo would weigh you down.
Me likey. I can has?
Next time you want to tell the Democrats to get off your lawn...
A mini Phalanx for vehicles?
No doubt, same with the battery.
It might be more feasible in a smaller chambering.
“You and what army?”
Cool.
I saw on youtube a guy who made a gatling-esque weapon by mating several rifles together and using a cam system to operate the triggers. It did not meet the standard for an automatic weapon and is thus not regulated by the FedGov.
I know there is a company that makes a kit mate 2 (two) .22 rifles, but the one I saw several years ago looked like 3 AKs, and it was awesome. It looked like something I could, with sobriety, make myself.
Anybody remember that?
Hope they make some post samples....gotta get on the phone with my CLEO and see if he’ll sign a letter for demo from me. ;)
wildlife in America will now have less of a chance to get away unharmed /s

How is it cooled? Or is it?

5.56mm
It's electrically operated, so in gross violation of the Second Amendment, Fedzilla infringes your right to keep and bear it.
I must have this!! I must!!
Seen this yet?
Perfect for home self defense.
I’m taking it chukar hunting. Now at last I have a chance...
I hear the California version will have a 10 round fixed belt. /sarc
Looks like a good fit for my new roof mount.
Rat Patrol!
The batter might not be a big problem because it will burn through all its ammo before the battery dies.
