Rush was flipping out on this today. He’s a big fan of JEB Stuart and was really letting this Hollywood nothing have it.
I actually just started reading this-my father was a huge buff, and he probably knew more about this conflict than all of his American history professors combined.
Right now I'm reading about the Battle of Fort Donelson.
Foote has an amazing way of conjuring these epochal events.
JEB really let us down at G’burg.
Good one. I was born in Hollywood, because the family was visiting Hollywood Script Writer Grandmother at the time. Other than that I can say I have no love whatsoever for the place, nor the people representing it on the BIG screen.
Stuart was a very special gentleman

That’s why I wrote the article. I thought Rush was going to have a stroke.
Yep, the scene in the movie where Lee chews him out is great. They were like a big family.
"...known for her portrayals of emotionally troubled women..."
"Born: Dec 03, 1960 (age 55) · Fort Bragg, NC"
Wait until she realizes she was born in the South, at an American military installation named for a Confederate General...who owned about 100 slaves (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Braxton_Bragg)
Go Raiders! Ms. Moore must have flunked Mr. Bogass’s history class. Silly, predictable Hollywood actress. Sad!
Natural redheads age faster...
All Stuart had to to was attack Custer at Gettysburg and it is very likely the Lee would have won that battle. But Custer’s bravado and daring one the day. Stuart just was not the equal of Custer that day.
Julianne Moore has fought to keep the number of aborted babies soaring above 50 million.
He was the best Civil War historian.
Julianne Moore is not a US Citizen. She gave up her citizenship several years ago and is a British Citizen.
She’s also an atheist.
Much like my daughter's professor who actively campaigned to shut down the Andersonville National Cemetery, who was shocked to find out that only one Confederate soldier was buried there. She had been campaigning to shut down a national park honoring 13,000 UNION soldiers.
My first thought as well was his actions at G’ burg. Lee was as close to visibly angry with him as he was ever seen. Left’em blind.
Jeb Stuart and Robert English Lee also captured John Brown at Harper’s Ferry (before the war, of course)
