“Will the professors work for free?”
The tenured professors and the administrators will continue to draw large salaries and deliver little in the way of work or results. While the tenured professors consult, go to conferences, and teach one or two courses the low paid adjuncts and grad students will continue to carry most of the teaching load.
Today... I want a ‘66 Pontiac GTO 400 HO w Manual Trans, Red w Black Interior, a Cabin in the Mountains and Free Ice-cream for life.

Just means two-thirds of Americans are stupid.
A free college education will be just as marketable as anything else that is free.

In my day you worked! No credit or paycheck if you don’t work. But, I know what you mean. I am self employed and work by myself. My son supervises a bunch of young people and the stories he tells me about their work ethic is amazing. Most that don’t make it go home to live with Mom and Dad (this is one of the biggest problems).
