Some 7,000 armed police with heavy vehicles have surrounded and blocked the Incirlik air base in Adana used by NATO forces, already restricted in the aftermath of a failed coup. Unconfirmed reports say troops were sent to deal with a new coup attempt.

Hurriyet reported earlier that Adana police had been tipped off about a new coup attempt, and forces were immediately alerted. The entrance to the base was closed off.

Security forces armed with rifles and armored TOMA vehicles used by Turkish riot police could be seen at the site in photos taken by witnesses....

Van Hipp, former Deputy Assistant Sec of the Army, was interviewed by Greta last week and said we had 50+- nukes still on site.

I don't think we have solid intel on these nukes at this point.

That said, I understand they are not ready nukes in that they are lacking arming procedures and triggering materials.

I have thought since the failed coup that Obama’s loss of Turkey as an ally of the West might be the biggest single foreign policy failure of his horrid presidency.

The reason is that Turkey has great geopolitical significance. It borders the old USSR, as well as Iran, Iraq, Syria and the Mediterranean.

Of course, Obama is a$$hole buddies with Islamist Erdogan.

Erdogan is an islamist which means 0bama would not support a coup. That is reserved for Christian or secular governments.

I don't think the CIA was involved unless they were baited by Erdogan.

But even if they were, the Pentagon isn't going to tell us the truth about their involvement, even if the Pentagon knew.

John Brennan, muslim convert, has even begun to back away from Obama lately. And I seriously doubt he knows much about what really goes on in the bowels of the CIA.

>>“Any suggestion anyone in the department supported the coup in any way would be absurd,” Pentagon press secretary Peter Cook told reporters Friday.<<

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

But now that you mention it, if you don’t back off right away, you’re going to be history.

Oh, yeah . . . Obama is still POTUS so that can’t happen. We will beg them for forgiveness for any offenses we may have possibly committed in our ignorant American-ness.

“Turkey need to guarantee safe passage of those weapons out of country, NOW!”

Seriously doubt Erdogan will allow that. It is his airbase, and he is now Turkey’s dictator. He is casting blame on the US to brand all our boys there as spies and co-conspirators so he can either expel all or imprison all.

He is real tight with 0bama, an this really smells of a setup to counter Israel and make things “fair” as he said he wanted/intended to do.

I put nothing past this treasonous administration. Meddling is what they do. (Think it's changed much since PIAPS left?) Have to wonder what information is out there floating amidst the Interweb. Or resting on someone's server.

i guess with the DNC acting at the news distributor for the American press, no one will hear of this until a disaster happens. So how long will this go on with not a peep from our Commander in Chief?

“That said, I understand they are not ready nukes in that they are lacking arming procedures and triggering materials.”

Not armed as they are binary. On these systems, the matching parts live near each other else they are useless.

It is becoming real clear why 0bama has purged all of the warriors from our military command structure.

Time for carriers in Med and NE Indian Ocean big time. And subs with cruise missiles.
