Some 7,000 armed police with heavy vehicles have surrounded and blocked the Incirlik air base in Adana used by NATO forces, already restricted in the aftermath of a failed coup. Unconfirmed reports say troops were sent to deal with a new coup attempt.

Hurriyet reported earlier that Adana police had been tipped off about a new coup attempt, and forces were immediately alerted. The entrance to the base was closed off.

Security forces armed with rifles and armored TOMA vehicles used by Turkish riot police could be seen at the site in photos taken by witnesses....

Without a disciplined military, Turkey has to play or placate Russia. They have no choice. The US won’t like that and will offer whatever it takes.

I can’t wait to see what Walid Shoebat has to say.

The sun has risen in Turkey on what should be a very interesting day. Beware of truck convoys heading away from Incirlik. Gonna get some sleep.

Indeed. It could be a new world in 8 hours.

I still think next weekend will be significant.

I don’t know. I don’t think Russia would support Erdogan because it creates big problems for them that probably outweigh the problems it creates for NATO. Russia is very concerned about their own security. NATO is not an offensive threat to them - ISIS is.

Or could we see the modern-day version of the Ribbentrop-Molotov Agreement.

Maybe, but Erdogan can’t control ISIS or it’s ilk. They are dangerous to anyone including their present allies. I think Erdogan knows this so he has to be worried about it. He wants to be the Sultan - ISIS wants to create a caliphate and Erdogan is probably not the man. However, ISIS could lose rather quickly and would if attacked by everyone so they might be out of the picture. That clears the playing field for Iran and/or Turkey. One says they will attack Israel. One is becoming far more hostile to Israel. Syria will owe Iran allegiance. Libya is anybody’s baby right now and Russia might step in as the Godfather to all.

It might be time to read Ezekiel 38 and 39 again. Consider - Turkey won’t be in NATO in its present form and attack Israel. America won’t defend Israel. When Russia and Iran prevail in Syria and Turkey joins them that only leaves Libya to complete the predicted alliance that will attack Israel. Who knows the timing and certainly not suggesting it’s immediate - I don’t even pretend to know. However, there are definitely interesting times ahead and amazing that a book written over 500 years before Christ keeps popping up in my head when looking at news headlines and a world map.

I’m sure the Russians, Chinese, Iranians etc share your PC concerns, and will hold back.

What are the chances that Hillary “negotiates” a “compromise” with Erdogan (with Obummer’s unseen assistance) to get the nukes and troops out?

That would certainly put a shine on her (nonexistent) credentials in time for the election.

Conspiracy theory, I know. Just sayin’.

I doubt the Norks methods are anywhere close to ours.

They have functional weapons, not sure their yields are anywhere near ours.

That is why we are not involved in an Erdogan coup attempt. He is evil.

Exactly.

So, were “regular female recruits” being sent into ground combat infantry units decades ago?

your reply: Yes.

Prove it.

Prove that “US Armed forces regular female recruits” being sent into ground combat infantry units decades ago.”

Provide dates, theaters, and unit action citations.

Getting kind of smoky on this thread and I think I know from where it emanates.

Many units. They usually fill the roles of Administration and Supply for ground units. The meme you posted features female recruits, and they are just that: Recruits.
