Daycare subsidies was NEVER mentioned. If the government got out of the way of small businesses, even daycare centers could provide services at affordable costs that American women making decent wages could afford.

If I was Cruz Dad, I would have come out immediately, to embarrass Trump and denied the association but I would have admitted the Cuban association with oswald and that I did live right there in New Orleans at that time but IT WASN’T me in the famous photos even though it sure looked like me. Then I would produce witnesses that vouch for me from that time in the New Orleans Cuban community in 1963. It is then over but why should we take the Boos cruz campaign’s word when they lied over and over about Melania Trump and Ben Carson— etc etc etc. ?

The babysitter down the street is affordable already. I'm sorry, but I saw the speech, and anyone watching it got the impression that he wasn't talking about reducing costs through a generally relaxed business environment. I also did not care for Trump's repeating the carnard about women earning x cents per dollar. That is largely a function of factors that have to do with flexibility, scheduling, different career choices, and child rearing.

Trump is good, but not perfect. Talking about getting rid of the Johnson amendment is new, needed, and something that Trump is uniquely qualified to pull off. That's a worthwhile trade-off.

We’ll win the election with everyone who’s conservative enough to see the necessity of stopping Hillary.

Don’t think you can read minds and I doubt you are a female worker. I was a working mother so understand the issues. So we both heard his speech and have different opinions guess we agree to disagree.

“We’ll win the election with everyone who’s conservative enough to see the necessity of stopping Hillary.”

let me fix that for you.
We’ll win the election with everyone who’s intelligent enough to see the necessity of stopping Hillary.

"I think it would be fascinating to talk to him about it."

Oswald's connections were to Castro. Cuban refugees of that era were anti-Castro. Rafael Cruz Sr. was a refugee from Castro's prisons and torture. He has given many interviews about that.

“If I’m not mistaken, didn’t Cruz and family pray and felt that God told them he was the choice in this cycle? “

Ted, Heidi, and Ted’s dad were praying about whether Ted should run for president. Heidi Heidi said she received this word from God: “Seek God’s face, not God’s hand.”

Now, I would have interpreted that to mean DON’T RUN; but Ted interpreted it that he should run.

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/rafael-cruz-god-sign-presidential-campaign

Quote from the story:

“After the church service, we all gathered at the pastor’s office,” said Cruz, who is a pastor himself. “We were on our knees for two hours seeking God’s will. At the end of that time, a word came through his wife, Heidi. And the word came, just saying, ‘Seek God’s face, not God’s hand.’”

Cruz said he then felt as if a “cloud of the Holy Spirit” had filled the room.

“Some of us were weeping, and Ted just looked up and said, ‘Lord, here am I, use me. I surrender to you, whatever you want,’” he said. “And it was as he felt that was a green light to move forward.”

With the right alliances, the Trump Party will be the Republican Party.

As I pointed out in a Freeper editorial I wrote a few weeks ago (Donald Trump, the Sensible Party and the Silly Parties), the Trump Party indeed needs to operate as a virtual party within the physical Republican Party—at least until this November's election. In step #1 (which is now completed), the (sensible) Trump Party defeats the "silly" factions of the Republican Party in the primary season. In step #2, the Trump Party, augmented by "sensible" Democrats and using the Republican Party's infrastructure, defeats the "silly" remnants of the Democratic Party.

The new question is: After Trump wins the general election, can the virtual Trump Party continue to coexist within the physical Republican Party alongside the Crony Capitalists and the Dominionists without the Republican Party being in a permanent state of civil war. Trillions of dollars are at stake, which will keep the Crony Capitalists' adrenaline levels at maximum. And how to keep the always-enraged Dominionists from trying to force their way into the driver's seat is currently an unsolved problem; though Cruz has demonstrated that is possible to split them off.

If the Trump Party takes over the Republican Party and forces the Crony Capitalist and Dominionist factions to go elsewhere (e.g., take over the Constitution Party), then it is essential that the new Trump/Republican Party permanently grab enough sensible people from the Democrat party to 1) make up for the loss and 2) reduce the size of the Democrat Party.

It is CRUZ who has angrily kept beating this dead horse.
Some tabloid evidently published a photo purported to be
his father with Lee Harvey Oswald. Cruz blamed Trump for
it evidently when Trump denied any involvement in it.
IF the photo is fake; Cruz ought to sue the tabloid for
damages and shut up.

1) $100 in 1957 is equal to about $850 today. Not an insignificant sum.

2) From Wikipedia:

“...he applied and was accepted by the University of Texas in August 1957. He obtained a student visa after an attorney for the family bribed a Batista official to grant him an exit permit. Cruz said he left with $100 sewn into his underwear taking a two-day bus ride to the University of Texas, arriving with little or no English.”

Excellent analysis. The corrupt Babylon that has been imposed on us was not built in a day or a year (more like 150 years) and the Republic can’t be rebuilt without destroying the corrupt infrastructure. Trump has a lot of experience with demolition. If he really loves the Republic and the Constitution, Cruz would have struck an alliance with Trump rather than ridiculing him in secret donor meetings and pretending to be a friend while stabbing him in the back. He could have shaped the intellectual framework of a pro-American Constitutional revival. Instead, he will at best be a backbencher watching while better men and women do the hard work.

That has nothing to do with a particular candidate (most often listed as Cruz). I agree this country needs to repent but Cruz was never the answer - he’s not even a believer.

Cruz will never be ready. Cruz is a false prophet. Cruz won’t learn from this and good riddance. I saw through him a couple of years ago.

I missed your original post. I see the Crony Capitalists making the play for the Democrats, willing to pay off the entitlements, but wanting the trade deals, social liberalism, and useful tools to channel the commie types into chasing their own tail to diminish their power. In return, the Dems get ... MONEY! It is not an ideal arrangement for them, but while the old money Republicans were socially liberal but with a proper demeanor, the new Internet/Silicon Valley money is a natural fit for the Democrat attitude.

I'm not sure how you define Dominionist, but most will stay within the Republican Party, while the more extreme versions may go into the Third Party ranks, which they already do.

There will be regional differences post-Trump, which is more or less normal anyway.

Wrong. Cruz was an ally of Castro.

From Wiki:

Cruz states he joined the Cuban revolution as a teenager and "suffered beatings and imprisonment for protesting the oppressive regime" of dictator Fulgencio Batista.[10][11] Cruz enrolled at the age of 17 at the University of Santiago in September 1956. According to Cruz, as a teenager, he "didn't know Castro was a Communist". Cruz has stated in interviews that he was jailed by Batista for several days in June or July 1957 and after he was released he applied and was accepted by the University of Texas in August 1957. He obtained a student visa after an attorney for the family bribed a Batista official to grant him an exit permit.

By his own admission, he joined up with Castro. He may or may not be telling the truth about knowing Castro was a communist. He was young, but as can be shown by his later educational and life accomplishments, the man is NOT stupid.

Yep, this is already the case. E.g., over on the Slashdot forum, which is concerned mostly with technical Silicon Valley-type news, a poll was done of the participants and they turned out to be mostly Democrats. I've never bothered to sign up there because I have better things to do than participate in flame wars with The Left.

How will we win? Honestly?
Without Ted and his diminishing herd of acolytes... It has become very apparent that they are not needed... Nor wanted. Teds endorsement would have been the kiss of death.
