Sunday, on ABCs This Week With George Stephanopoulos, former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, advisor to presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, and a potential VP for Trump, retired Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn corrected guest host Martha Raddatz for referring to illegal immigrants as undocumented.
Partial transcript as follows:
RADDATZ: Lets talk about immigration. Let me ask you, immigration, should all undocumented immigrants be deported?
FLYNN: So, undocumented or illegal?
RADDATZ: Undocumented, illegal.
FLYNN: OK. So, if youre if its illegal, its illegal. So
RADDATZ: Undocumented?
FLYNN: Are they here illegally? I mean, if theyre here illegally, then its illegal. I mean, again, back to my very first point, the rule of law in this country is probably the single biggest strategic advantage that we have, above and beyond all other countries in the world. And we cannot allow the rule of law to break down.

Did you think I didn’t know it is the law? A law based on flawed legal reasoning, but the law nonetheless.
I’m addressing the issue of character. Again, if someone has no problem that innocent babies are murdered by the millions - and brutally murdered no less - what atrocities will that person NOT have a problem with?
Even the most savage of beasts don’t kill their offspring, especially for the sake of convenience.
I only challenged an incorrect statement you made.
The Supreme Court can rule until the cows come home, but under the Constitution, Congress has the right to review , modify or strike down almost all of their decisions.
That they choose not to, is a different matter.
And here...I thought he’d forgotten the sarcasm tag. Guess not. He doubled down on stupid.
I like this Flynn guy...
Let’s keep Jeff Sessions in the Senate and have Flynn for VP
“What man has a right to tell a woman what to do with her body?”
The child is NOT her body. She is welcome to get a tattoo or a nose piercing. She is not welcome to kill someone else for her pleasure. A fetus is not a wart.
Then why are people saying we have to win this election because the Supreme Court is in the balance?
Flynn don’t have character? Since when?
Entering the United States illegally is a crime. First offense is a misdemeanor after that it is a felony. Dido over staying or otherwise misusing a visa.
I didn’t say that. And I notice you’re changing (or trying anyway) the subject away from abortion.
I’m speaking to the character of the person who is callous enough to think murdering innocent babies is okay. But you already know that. If Flynn is indeed pro abortion then, yes, I question his character.
That doesn’t mean he hasn’t done some good things for our country despite being deficient in those areas.
Try to keep your eye on the ball when engaging in discussion and stay on topic. It makes for a more fruitful discussion.
TRUMP VP CANDIDATE FLYNN CORRECTS ABCS RADDATZ: ITS ILLEGAL, IF THEYRE HERE ILLEGALLY, NOT UN
Where do you see the word "abortion"?
Freepers like you made it an abortion thread. I said I don't give a darn about abortion when it comes to the VP pick and that we need people like Flynn who will not back down when the MSM attacks.
Flynn was sticking to “illegal” vs. “undocumented” definitions. Again, it was people like you who made it an abortion thread.
So, try to keep your eyes on thread titles and a stick to the topic posted. And expand your world view to something more than abortion.
You’re the one who started talking about abortion early in the thread. I simply exposed you as a mind-numbed liberal who parrots the feminazi shtick, namely, attempting to justify a woman’s right to kill their children with impunity.
I never said Flynn wouldn’t do a good job, just that anyone (including you apparently) who thinks it’s all well and good to kill babies in the most brutal ways of abortion clearly has character flaws. That cannot be refuted.
If Trump picks Flynn, I’ll still support Trump as a candidate and as President.
Have a nice evening in the Windy City.
Again I will repeat....what man has the right to dictate to a woman what she can or cannot do ?....I for one minute do not believe that a woman wants to under go such a procedure just because she can....I am entirely against any TAX monies being given in any way to finance such choices. So what are your thoughts on the “pill”
"do" to who/what? Finish your thought.
Every man has a right to dictate that a woman may not murder someone. Half of those killed by abortion are men. And men have the right to dictate that women not use drugs, etc - being a woman does not free her from all societal restraint.
"I for one minute do not believe that a woman wants to under go such a procedure just because she can..."
Then you are a fool. Women do it all the time for reasons such as "I broke up with the father", etc.
The fundamental flaw in your argument is that the child growing inside her is very different than a wart. It is someone else, and is NOT part of the woman's body. She is the host, but the child is the victim.
In our republic at the present time she does and it happens everyday. Prior to Rode vs. Wade she did not. My oldest brother was given up for adoption and I did not even know he existed until 4 years ago....Morality has been legislated and it is not good....look at where we are now?LCBQT...RRR/yjk and all that....All who have mailed me for my rational comment ...YOU tell a woman she can’t have an abortion. I have one child and am a Grandfather of three, I knew 30 years ago how exspensive it was and I was very careful where I allowed myself to be. So tell me are women EQUAL?....I don’t think so...but the morality legislated says they are?....look we can differ all day....fact is broads get special treatment because some animals are more equal than others.
