I believe that Donald Trump is the answer to the prayers of so many asking God for a DAVID.
What I find most frequently is Republicans who say they dislike Trump, willingly admit they think Romney is an honorable man they could/would/did vote for.

My mom told me over the weekend that friends of her’s from church (Catholic) have told her they hope “something very bad” happens to Trump. I asked her what they thought of Obama. She didn’t have an answer. This country is going insane, but I’m the one who feels lost.
Why a Christian would cast a vote for a person who:
1) actively believe in LGBT rights and participates in marches,
2) who wanting government to pay for abortions,
3) publicly boos God at their convention,
4) lie to your face,
5) has no sense in obeying the laws either through their own actions or illegals who stream across the borders, or
6) has show themselves to be incompetent at best or negligent at worst...
it is beyond me. Yet we have some people at church who are Democrats.
I’m not smart enough to know the mind of God.
I am smart enough to vote for Trump

Great post. Wayne Root is a very special commentator. He always seems to strike a unique and powerful chord.
I don’t have any illusions about who Donald Trump is,
Our house in on fire and he’s the only one yelling, telling us to wake up and holding a firehouse and spraying water on the doorstep,
Romney, Ryan and McCain all bought into the lie, its a powerful media induced delusion their following, they don’t even smell the smoke and would rather we all went back to sleep a little while longer,
A warrior, that’s why he has my vote. I’m a Christian and I realized long ago that God can use men for good even if they may not be men of God. Those still looking for the perfect, upright and totally conservative candidate are fools.
I don’t get the number of Republicans who confront me with the question, “Who are you going to vote for for President?”
I reply, “Are you planning to vote for HILLARY?”

Early on looking at the character of each GOP candidate Trump and Carson were clearly the most Christian and Cruz the least Christian.
As I pointed out to a number of the more rabid NeverTrump folks after Cruz hit the silk, so, so sorry Jesus was not physically available to run. But I understand Mathew, Mark, Luke or John have been seen working at a KMart in Michigan. And Paul is...oh, wait. Forget Paul. As we recall, he was a notorious serial abuser of early Christians and a tax collector AKA “Saul of Tarsus”.
