I prefer to think as Trump as the Earwig tunneling through Obama’s Brain from that Night Gallery episode.

The earwig would meet little resistance inside 0Muslim's empty cavity...

And when it emerged after boring all the way through, it was determined to be female and it had laid eggs on its journey.

GAWD-A-MIGHTY that was a chilling episode!

That would be hilarious if it wasn’t so true to life.

That’s a common expression in many support groups——been around for years.

That was a great episode. Laurence Harvey was magnificent.

I never saw the end coming. Made you not want to go to sleep.

Nice to know there’s something in the formerly empty skull of Dear Leader.

I am not happy that the President of the United States is using official events to campaign.

I thought that was illegal.

This was an official event.

Jake and CNN is giving Paul Ryan a townhall on July 12 to bash Trump unmercifully before the convention.

Jake figures that will take some of the pressure off Obammy.

Not just 0bama, not just Democrats. I have seen the likes of this paranoid group terror only once in my memory, and that was when the Reagan campaign began to pick up steam in '80. "Trump cannot EVER be President! He CANNOT!!" Ask the speaker why and you find he or she can't actually articulate why Trump is so fundamentally awful apart from the usual vague accusations of racism (he isn't), sexism, (he isn't), financial skulduggery (from people who have never run a business) and the one I love the most, "he's a bully." From people who voted for 0bama and are about to vote for Hillary. No disconnect there, no feeling for the cognitive dissonance that is fueling the terror.

The range of the victims of this contagion describes a portion of the political landscape that barely recognizes itself. Why, for example, the pearl-clutching shortages of breath among media celebrities? Why the spittle-throwing hostility from entertainment industry celebrities? Why the lofty condescension from the political punditry, also celebrities? Sure, their power is being threatened, but what is really being threatened is their vanity.

I suggest that there is the cause of all this inchoate passion, and so long as most of its victims are unable to recognize that it's vanity that is the source of the disturbance they're experiencing, there is no hope for a cure. Let them suffer, they have it coming.

“Good. I’d pay good money to see BamBam, Hildebeeste or Fauxcahontas having a red-faced, vein-popped, raving, screeching, shrieking, foaming at the mouth, falling down on the floor and chewing the carpet temper tantrum.”

Be careful what you wish for. President Obama has had eight years to fill up the top layers of the bureaucracy and the military with yes men. He has the potential to be very, very, dangerous.

Doesn’t Trump have a saying that covers this:

YOU’RE FIRED!

I think it is cognitive dissonance. Trump articulates a world view that they completely discount as false. The joke is on them, because they are the ones who hold the false premises about reality.

As much as I hope I’m wrong, I’m betting that the election will be “won” by Hillary because of tampering wth the voting machines. At the primary voting in Indiana recently (my first since moving here), I was shocked to discover that while the machines were computerized (not touch screen), there was no printout to show how you had voted. So manipulation will be very easy to accomplish here. I love living here for all the quaintness and charm that my little town offers, but for goodness sake, some things should be updated.
