Why we must support Donald Trump
American Thinker ^ | June 27, 2016 | Carol Brown

I supported Ted Cruz during the primaries and struggled mightily with Donald Trump (and in many ways still do). But I will vote for Trump in November, because as intrigued as I was early on by the NeverTrump movement, it’s clear these folks (who stand on soap boxes of personal integrity) are putting self before country.

David Horowitz and Daniel Greenfield of Front Page Magazine are two conservatives among many who have been covering the urgent need to get behind Trump. Writing in forceful and eloquent ways, they are sounding the alarm, pointing out critical differences between Trump and Clinton. Most recently, Horowitz wrote:

Barack Obama delivers nuclear weapons and $150 billion to America’s mortal enemy in the Middle East…

But when Donald Trump insinuates the president is a man of uncertain loyalties, Republican leaders back away from him. When Trump proposes fighting “radical Islam,” securing America’s borders, stopping unvetted immigration from Muslim terrorist states, surveilling mosques, and scrutinizing the families of terrorist actors, Republicans join Democrats in denouncing him, or take an uncomfortable distance or maintain a silence that leaves him to fend for himself. A vote for the Losertarian is a vote for Hillary.

Anyone advocating such is a moron!

And then there is the Losertarian's pathetic running mate, Bill Weld:

When over 18 million immigrants have become naturalized without pledging their loyalty to America and to defend it plus our military has been turned into a home for queers lesbians and now trans types under Obama - clearly reveals anything but a joke. You have serious issues.

We can passively make jokes and go on to read the next article before bed, or we can commit ourselves to doing what we can to set the US on the right path. I don’t think that the current status of the US, or its direction, is a laughing matter.

"What a joke!"

You say that from just looking at his picture. It's far, far worse when you hear him speak.

On positions, Trump is FAR more conservative than GWBush, Romney, McCain, Dole, GHWBush.

Trump, is THE most conservative nominee since Ronaldus Magnus.

Voting for Trump is a no brainer for anyone who believes in America, our Constitution and the Judeo-Christian morals & values that America was founded.

If we don’t get behind Trump, and Clinton is allowed to win, the PC tyrants will view that as a final victory. If you think that the PC tyrants are overbearing, obnoxious and down right evil now, just wait until they shift into high gear if Clinton wins. Clinton will take in the world, and what remains (precious little) of our once great country will disappear forever.

No secret I was hard core Cruz in the beginning and rooting for Trump to keep things stirred up to help the cause. Once Trump's "Lemonade Stand" proved profitable, I had to switch my support/financial support to the only one who was truly viable.

Many of the current Trump supporters mesh with my experience except for some emotional entanglements that I have managed to avoid.

Here's hoping Cruz does the right thing soon but I believe he has proven that he cannot be the Veep pick and may not be a viable politician in the future because he seems to be meshing with those who would have Hillary win for the "personal satisfaction" of it.

You forgot he’s reduced the Military to 1940 strength to boot. GUTTED benefits and pay. Navy Times headline a month or so ago said benefits were going to be cut, BAQ might go away. Take that from the lower ranks and they will not just be on food stamps, and plenty of them are I see it every time I go to the Commissary they will have to apply for welfare for their families. Co-pays went up, and DOD MANDATES for Tricare Life forces you to use the base dispensary for your daily meds. NO COLA for Ret. Military or Seniors this year despite the rise in medical and food cost.

Thanks for the update. I am glad I have not seen that as I would have had I gone to Ft Campbell like I did once every 3-4 weeks. This is even more reason to not let Hillary get near that office and to get behind the man who won the primary. All those who vote 3rd party, or play anymore of these stupid divisive games like Romney and his fools do are adding to the problem not solving it. There is but one way to vote this election and that is Trump regardless of who anyone initially supported or still favors. We are facing the very last chance to get this country back in my honest opinion. We do not have any time to waste, let alone 4 more years.

...if you want more jihad, don’t vote for Trump, and help Hillary win. If you want to be sure our borders remain open, don’t vote for Trump, and help Hillary win. And if you want the next president to be someone who got Americans killed and then lied about it, don’t vote for Trump...

BINGO

Okay, I'm glad the writer is supporting Trump ...albeit less than enthusiastically. Frankly, I'm sick of the lukewarm endorsements ...always with the snide comments like... "(and in many ways still do)."

This portrays Ted Cruz as being "pure" and without faults. Ha!!!

I don't see the Democrats doing this. Not this election. Not any election.

The only endorsements I really care about are the straight up "I'm for Trump" without any disclaimers. If you can't say that, don't really care to hear what you have to say.
